NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - OFFICIAL PRE-ORDER THREAD!

Has this been confirmed? I'm curious how they will do it, just kick those people out the queue and bump everyone else up kind of thing?
If done properly, there's a service-side and UI-side validation with a message. If not done on both sides, you could game it and get away with multiple (unless there's a human reviewing orders prior to confirming which I doubt).

Any indications on pricing? Think i'm going to look at the 5070Ti as an upgrade from my 3070. So I would guess we'd be looking at somewhere between £600 - 800 range maybe?

I have set myself a ceiling price on a 5080 of £1150 any more than that and I'll put up with my 3090 for another year at least that's the plan

If the prices are above +200 for partner models I'd happily just wait for the fe to come back in stock if I don't get one launch day.

I'll be waiting for a FE this time around, IF it's quieter than the 3090FE/4090FE. I have my doubts that the 5090FE design, while impressive, will be good enough to spin the fans at low RPM.

If that's the case, then I'll go for the 5090 Astral from ASUS, as will probably be the quietest 5090.

Sound is important to me as well, I'll definitely wait on reviews. I think you'd get the same results with MSI cards. If the Rog Strix was +£600-700 last time around, I don't even want to think what the Astral will be priced at. :(

Had a bad experience with MSI RMA, so never again. Sent in a card that failed ~ 3 months after being bought from new, was in perfect condition apart from being faulty. They returned me the same model, but a refurbished one which was badly scratched.

It worked, but backplate and all sides had bad scratches, looked like it had been dropped and scraped on each side on purpose.

Watch the Astral come in at a silly price.

so if we had issues couldn't we send back to overclockers or would we have to go via msi for example.

That is really bad. You'd expect one of a similar condition to which it was sent.

Set myself an absolute max of £2500 for a 5090 (and i don't really want to go that high). I remember pulling the trigger on a HoF 3090 and it was like £2700 and really didn't end up being worth the extra £££'s so I'm going to try and fight the fomo this time.

4090 strix oc has been an excellent card for me (almost perfect for my situation) but a 5090 should push my usecase to where I want it to be for a long time. Just got to wait on those benchmarks.

I bought a asus tuf 4090 for £1800 just over a year ago from here and it works like a charm. When comparing with the FE, my assumption was that since the FE card would be from Nvidea direct, the card would perform overall better and be a smaller size, but some benchmarks ive seen suggest otherwise, not only that but the FE is also more expensive. Could anyone clarify or would have better information about this? I was thinking of going for the FE for the 5090 but not if the specs wont be as good. Thanks!

the fe is always the cheapest. then from there the other brands charge over the fe price. so the tuf this year will be circa £2200+ the aib's can overclock so it can perform better it's expected very marginal difference though.

So if its only a marginal difference then it would be a better option to for the FE? 5070TI seem to be the more popular choice here in terms of affordability, although I am really keen to get the 5090 without going over the top with expenditure

You can send back to OCUK if it becomes faulty within a month I believe. After that you have to go through MSI directly, who were horrendous for me. This was a few years ago so many things have changed, I'm not taking the chance though!

@Dave2150 heh that happened to the very first 4090 I had. It developed a memory fault maybe a month or 2 after release. I did the RMA through OCUK.

They sent it to Poland and the wait wasn’t what I would call excessively long like a month. But me being the impatient azz got the white strix 4090 in the meantime. They did however have me a brand new card as a replacement.

@kute I really love the chonky designs and well built cards and they generally tend to be my faves as well

I've had my 4090FE since the second batch at launch and its been silent & cool ever since. Had the new 5090 been accompanied with similar build there would be no hesitation on going for it again but its smaller 2 slot size has me waiting on the reviews of performance, thermals and acoustics before deciding.

I want to hedge my bets so I can dive in whereever I need to. Is it possible to pre-store card details or are they already stored from previous purchases ?
