NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

On a competitors website i checked on saturday i was 121 in the queue for a zotac solid i checked today and im 160 how does that work?
I saw people saying their event pre-order tracking wasn't working before. Maybe it wasn't originally including those people? Can't really think of anything else...

Not great for you though, between that and the other person on the last page mentioning their ETA went up 2 months the queues are looking pretty rough.

I'd be kicking up a fuss about thatm, seems out of order to me especially if true and they were selling FE stock to people at the event even though they were not supposed to (not affecting your opre order but shows a degree of shady)

if the pound gets stronger you pay less. This will be the only way where “the more more you buy the more you save” becomes a reality

IF im thinking right wont all the tariff talk lower the value or the doller? Or is it the other way around?
It will bounce around some, but not likely to shiff monumentally -- and not enough for vendors to be forced to lower prices. We'll see a few points, at most. There's also the thought the pound gets pulled down with the dollar since UK is no longer in the EU sphere and sentiment is we are on our own and/or aligned to the US.

You won't get a 5090 in 30 days though its going to be many months before most people can get one.

I think supply will ramp quicker than most expect. Could be wrong, but we'll soon see. I wonder how long it will take for Nvidia to have enough stock that they start sending invites to buy one via email, like they did with 4090.

I wonder how the Chinese new year one month factory shutdown will affect things. Like some would be on a ship right now is imagine so when would we see the effects of the shutdown??

Its a 2 week shutdown as far as im aware and i assume it would be at the end of the new year if we also assume 2 week shipping time. Should have put it off till after the new year really

Personally I think after a month or two they’ll struggle to shift these cards, they’re very expensive and not stunning performers.
The launch stock has been tiny.

The market in the US is beyond cooked. You can't even find a 4070 super for less than $800 and it is sold out everywhere. I don't know but our market seems healthy right now. I can find a 4070 super, TI super with ease here in the UK. I'm wondering if this because we have a lot stock that hasn't sold yet.

I don't agree with the leak/rumours that the 5000 series production lines shutdown for a whole month. If you google around, it's common for the average production line worker to just have one day off.

I'm sure the management/senior positions have more time off, though as the production lines are largely automated, this should have a lesser effect.

Chinese manufacturers won’t be farting out just several cards a day. I expect the supply issues be resolved in 2-3 months max, with prices to normalise in maybe 4-5. Based on nothing but mindless, reckless guessing :D

I googled and found this https://insight-quality.com/chinese-new-year-factory-shutdown/ that's why I was asking. But perhaps they produce initially and ship them out in stages to cover any potential gap??

Anyone else ordered a Gigabyte card? I've managed to get 14th for a 5090 Gaming OC.
