NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

That in stock ‘preorder’ MSI 5080 Gaming Trio listing with another retailer is mighty tempting, but I want to save a few hundred £’s :D

It’s been available for hours! Still available now.

How do warranty claims for AiBs work if you've purchased a card from a scalper and not via an actual retailer?

I do wonder if the current(fnar) melty potential with 50 series might scare off people from buying scalped cards from the bay.

If after 30 days, it is completely up to the seller whether they respond to you or not.
Otherwise going to the manufacturer without proof of purchase could be very difficult.

Well the connector and power design is garbage, and Nvidia decided to pump more power through it....

If you want a fright check out Der8auer's video here too, quite worrying:

I cannot tell you. Forum rules. Go search for it. Only handful of competitors
aight i clocked that, its under pre-order but its delivery for next couple of days, man looks like MSI is churning out them cards like more than any other brand

MSI is a good brand, better company than Asus no doubt

No guarantee it will come down too much. Maybe 200 max months from now. I'd rather be out the game!

That video was terrifying. I'm sure NVidia will try and airbrush it as "under unrealistic conditions" but people do hit that power draw in gaming and 150C is absolutely insane

Thing is the 150c was within the 10 mins or so he said he ran the test for. Imagine what it would be like after a full session. Im hoping this doesnt happen with the suprims. My room gets to 29c ambient in winter with a 14700k and a 3090*, id hate to see the temps with a 5090. Might have to invest in a temp gun at somepoint:cry:

Might also be the time to invest in an aircon unit to help regulate room temps for the summer, what a time to be alive

*Edit: Plus my partners pc, the room is fairly small which is why temps get so high

Only 80 gaming trios by the looks of things. Other site has had 4 90 surprim since launch

where u seeing that

i wonder if any 4090 users jumped on a 5080 just because they couldn't get a 5090

that would suck bigtime.
Funny, I was just thinking that. Think Hostile 18 has sold his 4090 and got a 5080. I never even consided a 5080 to replace a 4090...

If I ever manage to get a 5090 I’ll enjoy using it for 5 minutes before it melts and takes my power supply with it!
