NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Perhaps the Zotac 5090s fell off the ship. We're going to find them washing up on beaches, all over the world, for years.
More like fell off the back of a truck, as they say where I'm from.

Seriously though, I have a feeling Zotac has a bunch of "reduced-ROP" chips on their hands they're needing to account for. I suspect there was "a wink's the same as a nod to a blind AIB" going on between them and nV.

I dunno we've only seen two zotac 5090s with the issue haven't we. I just get the feeling they were late to the game with making cards.

Have to say there's been 5080's available around the web since yesterday at so called "reputable" online retailers who have jacked the prices up (OCUK included), listed for silly money, and they are still there today. Paying £1500-£1600 for a 5080 is a complete joke, you'd need your head examining if you bought one. I know some have, but these cards have been sitting there 24 hours now, so maybe all the suckers have their cards by now? :p

It really is disparaging seeing the amount of malarky and hokum going on from top-bottom of supply chain with this launch. And agreed, anyone paying £1500 (or even £1400) for a 5080 -- a total abomination of a GPU/card -- is out of their GD mind.

It's the first time I've actually seen cards there in stock there, but they have a bunch listed. Super tight anti-tracker/anti-scalper/anti-bot controls there: they have periodic redirects set up, then your IP gets locked after you do a few refreshes in a minute, then captcha to just access your cart... It's how all these sites should be doing it, but I expect their toolset is a bit more robust than other UK resellers.

Um, do you have your DMs turned off? Curious to know which store this is

FE drop tomorrow? It was the last two Thursdays that had drops wasn't it? Im really unsure wether to go for one or not, Im getting impatient now and just want to get a 5090 and for the best price possible but kind of want to hold out for the aib’s with better cooling.

I think they were both Wednesdays?
Last Thursday was the 5070 / 5070ti release.

It would be a nice round 20 minus the person who cancelled above but I've been queue number 4 since the beginning and it still says I am 4th on live tracking with the date 2025-05-30. Would be strange if the live order tracking doesn't update for everyone at the same time. They also didn't mention any Zotacs dropping in their update today but maybe they got them after the 5:30pm update. Would be strange if 20 people cancelled all at once on one day too though. Guess I have the smallest glimmer of hope tomorrow then.

I think somebody from here got their Zotac 5090 from OC recently.. so maybe the other supplier who shall not be named is doing something dodgy with card allocation vs system orders? . I think Zotac also commented to somebody, indicating delivery of cards in July (not June!). My Eta is 1st week of June apparently lol but I'm probably going to cancel in a month depending on what the RX 9070 XT is like in terms of price/performance value.

It is crazy. Im in constant disbelief that the 5080 is selling out, even at £1400-1500. What are people doing with them/why are they so coveted? Its a 16gb card that is only 10-15% faster than a card that was readily available for ~£800 pretty much all of last year.

Re-sale value on a price gouged 5080 is going to be absolutely horrible.
