NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Estimated dates - When have you ever ordered from them and the delivery date wasn't much sooner?
Normally not on that exact day, but likely during that week. However, I have had estimated dates pushed back a week to much later. I've never seen an estimated date moved sooner.

Fair enough, everything I ever purchased from there with an estimated date has always arrived a couple of weeks sooner.

I managed to see the order page for this one before it vanished and it was fairly clearly a pre-order. Palit did the same thing last week (or possibly the week before, I forget) - they opened up pre-orders via their mini-site on that competitor at two points over the course of a morning, first for pre-orders due 17 March, then later for pre-orders due 24 March.

I didn't see any notification for the Palit card, I would have bought one for that price.
The reasonable priced ones will go really fast, no notification will beat the bots.

I think that is the only retailer that has kept to normal pricing, all other retailers have raised their prices.

I think there will be a lot of buyer’s remorse this gen especially those who are paying the early scalper tax.

Yeap I can see this already, especially with 5090 drops now lasting a bit longer before being sold out - the demand is easing and prices will normalise over time.

IMO it's only worth paying a premium if you get the card day one and really need the card right then for a game you're playing. I paid scalpers tax for my 4090 Strix, which I bought on release day and was using it to it's fullest extent the day after release, so was worth it to me.

This time around, I've got a few games on my list to complete on PS3 and PS5 Pro - so happy to wait for a FE or a sensibly price AIB card. I've got until May until a game releases that I 'need' a 5090 for :D

I wonder which store it was, couldn't find any with the Palit at that price this morning when I looked.
It's the first time I've actually seen cards there in stock there, but they have a bunch listed. Super tight anti-tracker/anti-scalper/anti-bot controls there: they have periodic redirects set up, then your IP gets locked after you do a few refreshes in a minute, then captcha to just access your cart... It's how all these sites should be doing it, but I expect their toolset is a bit more robust than other UK resellers.

Perhaps the Zotac 5090s fell off the ship. We're going to find them washing up on beaches, all over the world, for years.
