Does Overclockers have a brick and mortar store? Would they have stock of 5000 series for sale there?

Right, 5080 it is. No card is worth £2000+ when it will be further outdated in 2 years.
I do get the idea though that they think incremental upgrades are the way to go, with a higher base price. Makes the buyer feel happier knowing their 3k card wont be outdated in 2 years time and it is a better investment (as such).
They then need less research and development and all is good for Nvidia.

I think scalpers might get stung this time, and I really hope they do... The prices are already INSANE, and I can't see many people willing to pay double insane. For me it's a matter of principle this time, 80 and 90 class pricing is getting out of hand and if we keep paying it, it won't stop. Though I can afford it, I'll only be pushed so far before I'm like "You know what, you can keep it mate".... I'm getting too old and cynical for this s*'t :p

If stock isn't ramped up for a good few months (looking likely), then there may be enough desperate people.... I hope you are right though and the scalpers get burnt,

Is it right to assume that FE will be 2000, but all other varients from Asus/Msi etc will be almost £1000 more? Just reading through comments and looks likes more and more people are getting less inclined to buy

No one knows for sure since we don't have UK pricing, but there's been US price leaks which may give some info. Asus seems to be on the higher side with little in the way of cards close to MSRP, the other makers do seem to offer lower priced cards but none seem to be MSRP. Maybe looking at £150-£200ish premium for getting a AIB regardless of vendor.

Astral will be close at what I predict around £2800 for it going by US prices, everthng else should fall between £2200 to £2500 depending on the SKUs.

Interestingly I had access to this post a few days ago and now it says it's invalid.

Hmm.....

Glad to see 5090 Waterforce actual block on the site, is the inno3d with AC's block likely to be stocked? Might well be more reasonably priced compared to some variations, as at least one gets a waterblock fitted, although if it's too much obviously just DIY it on any old card.

God I wish the performance had gone up beyond increasing die size and power. It's so stupid. But my 3080 is starting to struggle more and more.

Even if I don't get a 5090 now, I expect I'll want sorting in a year on the refresh and get a 5090ti since they've left room for it this time.

And then I'll be cpu limited...

Hmm. As nice as the Auros Ice is, if I could get the FE I would be happy with that some I havent heard of. For the people who sold their 4090 in anticipation of the 5090, why have you regretted if you dont mind me asking?

Nvidea store just seems to redirect to Amazon when it comes to the other cards and Scan doesnt have the FE listed, only the other brands, some I havent heard of. I sold mine. I don't really regret it for a few reasons;

1) I'll have a 5090 for not much more money, or a 5080 with close enough performance and a grand to spend elsewhere.
2) If I went 5090 route, it keeps me on the highest value to sell for the 6000 series.
3) It gave me a chance to use a 3050 and realize I can get 90% of the experience with that.

That said had all the facts being known I'd be just as happy as options 1 and 2 with keeping the 4090 as well.
