NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Totally bizarre eh. Who in their right mind would buy a used 4090 for £1700 at the moment, when you can get a brand new 5090 for a tiny bit more. Are people really that dumb? Actually, no need to answer that.

I think you mean 'smart'? The 4090 is a solid buy, Lovelace is arguably more stable and better developed than Blackwell.

There's is no way a 5080 Super 24GB is going to come close to the Titan class 4090. And the 5090? One-to-one performance/price increase and less efficient to boot, madness.

I'd recommend everyone buy a used RTX 4090, it's the right thing to do ;)

I was laughed at on here for getting a 4090 for just over 1K just before the 5090 was going to drop :D

funny how things change.

Hold onto our 5090's until there's a shortage then sell.

Yep, still there

Seems like the 5090 madness has finally come to an end. I would have jumped all over that a few months ago as I really wanted a 5090FE. But I've decided to be sensible and stick with my MSI Gaming Trio 5080. It's a lovely card and chews through everything I need at the mo. And 5090s just use way too much power, my 5080 sips under 250w most of the time (undervolt).

Weird, tried brave browser and other suggestions and still showing no stock, can't figure it out.

Used 5090s are going for £1800... The madness indeed seems to be over. Glad I didn't cave the first few months and waited until the one I bought was somewhat near RRP.

Undervolt the 5090 and it doesn’t use much more than 300w most of the time.

Yep, for a few weeks now stock has been readily available, including at <£1,900 on occassion. Almost every retailer has a pretty wide range of models available. That, plus all the early adopters have been and gone. Question now is, do prices stay as they are (£1880-1930 lower bound). I cannot see prices falling much. Even if demand drops off a cliff, Nvidia will just reduce supply.
