I suppose if he is there day 1 and can get a few its easy profit. If he can't he can just cancel it. Since he's the first "retailer" to go live with pre-orders in the UK lol.

Not me. I'll always have the new card in hand, test it for a few days and then sell on my old one.

Appreciate not everyone can do this, but if you can it's something I'd always do. I'll not be alone in that.
 
Personally I'd rather buy a new monitor upgrade than a GPU given I have a 4090 already, I am curious to see what the 5090 offers, but will almost certainly end up upgrading the 32" OLED 4K to the new 45" ultrawides being announced at CES. That would actually be money well spent IMO and probably cost nearly as much as a 5090 anyway.

I bet that new monitor will look really good hooked up to your new 5090.

Just get the biggest oled you can and play in ultra wide ratio if you REALLY want to. Don't pay more for less :)
 
39"-45" ultrawide would not be paying more for less, would be paying more for more silly, 39" would be the same physical height as the 32" normal wide I have now, with the 21:9 aspect which is what I've been waiting for all along. 5120x2160 > 3840x2160 :cool:

I sold mine for £1699. Hopefully won't be too much extra! :)
