That'd put it 2028 then. We're in 2025 now remember and the gen gap's already over 2 years... Plus next is a new node.
Yeah sorry typo, meant 2028!
Nvidia will use the new node for AI/business customers before thinking of giving to us plebs

Unless AMD pulls a shocker.Wouldn't surprise me if 6090 slipped to Jan 2027. Nvidia are competing with themselves, and are taking longer between each generation.
planning? yes? Hopeful I will get one in the next 6 months cause of the stupidly low amount of stock? no...Watched the Gamers Nexus review, card looks like a beast!
How many people have got/are planning to get a 5090? I have a friend thinking of upgrading from his 4090, watching the review I think he might be better off holding onto his card for the time being instead of spending another £1,000 for around 30% more performance.
it's the way all games will go eventually for good reason, Ray traced lighting is far easier to develop than baked lighting.Indiana Jones is already RT required.

it's the reason it's been the holy grail of games development.
Speak to @ne0, OcUK's very own Wolf of Wall Street , he'll be able to grab you one for just a few hundred ...i'm not paying £11,999.99 for a 5090 on here
Oh they will pull a shocker, alright. Just not the good kind.Unless AMD pulls a shocker.
yeah, the fact they aren't releasing until March despite retailers already having the cards in stock... that is really not a good sign in the slightest.Oh they will pull a shocker, alright. Just not the good kind.
Why does the left hand image show 77 FPS and ~31ms if there's no frame Gen? 77 FPS should be ~13ms.It's been gone over a few times in the thread already but this is no longer an issue if your base frame rate is high. There is no significant latency gain with the new DLSS4 frame gen:
The compromise is an increase in artefacts in very fast moving objects. So it's not perfect, but feedback has been positive - I'm yet to hear any reviewer say it's not worth it.
I'm guessing it is system latency, and not just frametime? But it's never than clear with these ms figures reference in frame gen comparisons. Why does the left hand image show 77 FPS and ~31ms if there's no frame Gen? 77 FPS should be ~13ms.
Not to dunk on your post; I've seen the same youtube video so I know where it's from, but it's curious to see those numbers.
It was me that said “it”. But I was saying the price that I’d buy a used 4090 at vs. A new 5080.I didn't say that, someone else did. I'm just saying I wouldn't pay more than 8-900 quid max for a second hand 4090 and as I said, give it a couple of months and the used market will reflect actual value. People paying £1500 for a used 4090 right now are crazy
You’ve got AMD with cards in stock and not launching till march and Nvidia launching in January despite having no stock, what strange times we’re living in.yeah, the fact they aren't releasing until March despite retailers already having the cards in stock... that is really not a good sign in the slightest.
I have a feeling AMD is in full panic mode right now.

This is one of my issues with MFG ; you need a good frame rate before using it otherwise the latency and visual artifacts are distracting. In this video Tim is recommending a base frame rate of 100-120 fps, or 70-80 fps at a bare minimum depending on the game/genre. For me personally, if my game is already running at 4K/120 fps then I don't need or want MFG on top of that.
