Hah, 14761 with an undervolted 5090 Palit Gamerock & 7950x3d. You win by 12.I've gained around 200-250 points in Steel Nomad with the new driver. Score is up to 14773 with a undervolted 5090 Zotac Solid & 7950x3d.

Thinking of the saving on heating.I've been playing some Avowed yesterday and today and I'm noticing a definite uptick in exhausted heat from the new PC. CPU sits around 60-70 and the GPU is coasting along at a comfortable 60 so the chassis fans are doing their thing but this 5090 doesn't half warm the office up.
Not kidding. I'll have to work out why the voltage stuff doesn't work for MSI afterburner and then undervolt itThinking of the saving on heating.
Doesn’t work so well for me eitherNot kidding. I'll have to work out why the voltage stuff doesn't work for MSI afterburner and then undervolt it
Can't wait for summer. This one came up a few days ago. It seems to be slightly different to some of the other melted cables we've seen. I think the theory in this case is a faulty connector, with one of the power pins pushed back inside the housing so far that it came into contact with a sense cable and caused a short. It was a newly built PC that started emitting smoke as soon as it was turned on, while most of the "normal" melted connectors occur during or immediately after heavy use.
Seems more issues with 50 series cards, now the 5070 with melting cables. Maybe just a faulty card but a heads up for owners to be aware.
This is totally different, as said above faulty cable or connection.

Bios setting on auto maybe for pcie? Heard of a couple of problems unless you set it manually to pcie 4, if using the riser cable.Installed my MSI Shadow 3x 5080 today and pc kept rebooting and screen flickering, wasnt a clean installed but from a 3080ti didnt think it would be a major problem, ive got a new 1200w psu to put in but currently have a corsair RM850 installed which I thought would be enough then thought could it be the pcie 4.0 riser cable I had in, took hat out and plugged into the pci-e slot and its been fine, could it be the riser cable? Looking at the price of pci-e 5.0 riser cables not sure I'll bother
Cheers, never thought of that will take a look, great upgrade from my 3080tiBios setting on auto maybe for pcie? Heard of a couple of problems unless you set it manually to pcie 4, if using the riser cable.
