I've now had my surround setup for a week, and to be honest it has been abit of a let down. The few games i have tryed have all had probelms. I'm running a i5 3570k @ 4.5ghz with sli gtx 470's all water cooled.

Dirt showdown. Great at first 60fps (vsync) then get massive fps drop. Fine on benchmark though.

GTAiv. Runs great, but hud is on the extreme left of first monitor, unable to move to center screen. This makes it hard to use the mini map while driving.

Need for speed shift 2. Hates sli, but ok to play, sometimes get fps dip.

Crysis 2. Get major artifacts while shooting.

After checking each problem on google, they are all well known. Can anybody give me a recomendation of a good game for a surround setup other than bf3?

1.25GB vram with 5760 res...that's probably why frame rate is fine for a short while, but the dip like hell after a while.

Vram not being an issue. Dirt 3 is the problem, it hates sli and drops to 1 card. There are some sli fixes, but involves writing new sli config files.

Gtx470 Sli playing crysis on 3 monitors.. you really will need to change your Gpu.
A nice Gtx 670 4gb would make a world of difference and 2 would be even better...

i've just moved Nvidia surround and i've got to admit i love it!. Im running 2 gtx 580 3gb cards, playing at 5760@1080 res and all my games run very smooth!.

I can play max payne 3 on the highest setting and still get an fps of 70-90 (depending on here u are in the game). BF3 30-50fps on the highest setting again,
Black ops, saints row 3 and sniper elite all run very smooth with a nice fps as well :).

both my cards are running at stock speed and my cpu is overclocked to 4.6ghz and all watercooled. i'm running the latest nvidia drivers.

I thought i would hate so i went rounds a mates house tried it and loved it and got it and now had it for over a week and love it, never going back to one monitor now!.

+1, I had VRAM issues with 1 / 1.25 / 1.5gb on one screen at 1080p so on 3 you will be even at much lower settings

This thread is not about vram issues. my gtx470's will be the bottleneck before the vram is maxed out in the games i play. Games with a lot of textures ie bf3 may be another issue.
As long as i get min rates >30fps i'm happy. As i showed in my dirt showdown vid, 60fps in the benchmark is great. droping to 15fps in game shows its a code error. I use afterburner screen stats, this shows the load on card 2 disapear..
In crysis 2, i never see less than 40fps @ 5760 res, hardcore settings dx9. I think that is more than playable. But i'm getting artifacts in the game. Again an sli and crossfire known issue.
I would like to find a game that is great to play in suround without problems.

Thanks mate never thought of giving Max pain a go, or sniper elite.

V-ram may not be causing the issues you are describing but it will be a serious issue in many games at that res.
470 SLI has slightly more grunt then a 670, but due to v-ram I have to lower texture settings in BF3 just to play at 2560x1440. Looking in Afterburner the vram is maxed in most modern games.

I agree. But what im saying is that as long as im getting >30fps im not bothered about the vram being maxed out. i understand i will have to sometimes lower the odd setting and run smaller amounts of AA.

My gpus are not the problem. Its the bad coding and drivers ext that are.

Disappointing to hear. I would also have said it was VRAM problems but after you said it wasn't then it is apparent it is poor drivers or coding. Those are the type of games that would entice me to 3 screens.

Are your gtx 470 overclocked? And what drivers are you using?.

Running @ stock speed at the mo on 301.63. I wanted to try a few games before increasing the speed.

I think i have found a fix for crysis 2. From what i've read, the artifacts are due to having the afterburner on screen monitor running. i will give it a go when i get home tonight.
