Nvidia vs Ati Advice

It's the same for Nvidia, it has to be a 3DVision compatible screen.
To claim needing to rely on 3rd party support with more inconvenience to set up and having much fewer choices on the monitors being "the same thing"...it is either logic fail, or plain fanboyism talking...

AMD has other merits over Nvidia, but 3D certainty ain't one of them.

Are you saying Nvidia don't need a 3DVision compatible display?

Id like to thank all of you that have posted a reply. All your comments have been very helpful and ive purchased 2x HD 7950's today and with abit of luck i should have them installed on tuesday night.

I'll let you know how i get along with my AMD experience.

Ricky.

This comment proves without a doubt you are a fanboy

lol..... :D

How?

You getting snotty as well to me proves i have hit a nerve. whats upset you and him so much?

You need compatible screens for both, so it makes no difference.

Keep yapping. People are not stupid they can tell someone who is speaking the truth apart from someone that's biased, try to twist what others say and dodging the infavourable facts by not addressing them.

You point one finger at someone and you have four pointing right back at you

i'm not the one getting upset and snotty. ;)

Ooohhh, goodie; I love these threads!

I've read about 3 comments, so don't burn me at the stake just yet.

I'll just reply with my usual one to these threads; my 4 general rules of thumb (not 100% guaranteed)
AMD better for 3 screens
NV better for 3D
AMD better value for money
NV better drivers

Ultimately, it all depends on the games you play, your preferences and your set up

I don't think anyone here is upset with the graphic card related discussion or even remotely emotionally involved. I am however getting a tad ANNOYED by your childish come-backs, rather than the discussion itself.

And you are STILL delibrately not addressing the points I made properly on purpose.

Yet you interpret it as "Are you saying Nvidia don't need a 3DVision compatible display?"

You either need help on reading, or on your English.

Speak for yourself. I'm sitting here on the verge of tears like a woman awaiting the outcome of Twilight hitting F5 to see whether the OP chooses powerfu,l but misunderstood AMD, or sides with the sleek and sexy Nvidia :p

Yea you are right. Wasn't thinking when I said that...I was only speaking for myself...for a brief moment that I was in zen in a happy place forgotten all about people DO get emotional about graphic card :p

I don't get emotional about graphic cards performance...I do however get emotionally annoyed reading people posting ridiculous remarks that makes me facepalm.

:p

To add to your point, whatever 3D software AMD users can use, nvidia users can too. There is simply no doubt that nvidia is better for 3D, although, you do have to pay a large premium

Marine-RX179, your so much fun. :D it's always fun to get someone wound up to the point where they resort to calling anyone who does not agree with them, a fanboi.

Now what 3'rd party support they need to rely on, how it's more difficult to set up and how many choices there are vs Nvidia?

Good choice, and great value for money. You've got some serious power there! :)

Yea yea I'm such a fanboy that I have a Nvidia GPU on my HD5850 haha. Not gonna take your troll bait no more...you clearly has no intention of act like a grown-up and have a sensible discussion. You are a waste of time...on the ignore list you go.

Have you used 3D on either platform?

If it's a native 3D screen, Tridef can run 3D, you are not locked into AMD/Nvidia either which should be applauded.

By no means take what your about to read as 'Tridefs better', because it's not what I'm going to express.

If I can purchase a 120Hz FS 3D 1080p monitor for a total combined price that's less than the price of just the Nvidia 3d kit, then what's not to like?

Point out the inconvenience as well please because I don't have any, I also don't have any titles that don't work through Tridef:

They all work but I'm lost to the inconvenience-unless you count having to manually add a game ID shortcut to the Steam.exe on the odd occasion, which is a one time deal that takes a grand total of 30 secs.

I edited my post, calling someone a fanboi is way out of order, so i'll take it back. if your going to say things like that to people simply because the person disagreed with you speaks volumes about you and getting on your high horse after it only adds to it, it's certainly not a sensible discussion, is it?

The same to no_1_dave.

@ tommybhoy, i already asked him to explain himself, he hasn't, i don't think he can, i think he's just following the rhetoric without actually knowing anything.
Not that i do, but i do know people running 3D monitors on AMD cards and they don't complain about any of Marine's blanket statements.
