I have managed to stabilise my system after suffering with the "display driver stopped responding" for a couple of weeks.
I cant say its a proper fix, but my games run OK again.
I basically ran Registry Mechanic to fix errors and installed EVGA precision to give me the option to tweak and down tune my graphics core and also increase the fan speed. If i can keep the graphics card temp at about 55 when idling and no more than 75 when gaming its ok but if it creeps up to near 80 i know i will get a black screen and poss freeze.
I also removed 2 sticks of my memory and although i tried to put them back i got a BSOD.. i will check again after i am sure the sytem is stable.I It could be my graphics card is on the way out but i cant test it myself so i will have to live with it for now.
Anyway if this info is any help to anyone good luck and thanks for all the advice given to me to help with this insidious grapics problem (NVLDDMKM)
