NVME vs SSD

The main use for pcie x4 nvme drives

Is when you have more than 1 ~or 1 and a fast ssd raid array
Copying to/from them kills a 2.5 ssd
I have 3 of them as shuffle a lot of files around
Other than that usage and benchmarks a good sata ssd you will feel pretty much like a M2 pci~e x4 any way as ssd is just so fast anyway
 
The reason i want to use my m2 nvme slot, is because i dont want to loose any of my 6 x sata ports, but if i run m2 as nvme and not sata, i wont loose my sats ports, but uses 4x pci3 lanes instead(or i think thats how it works), i just wanted to make sure it wont mess with the lanes used by my rtx asus 2080 super, and guy answered no to me, so all good.
