That is sad, it's just an interface update.
Yes, but then I would spend all day playing games. And I still have some I have not touched, along with some that I have barely touched.
I just don't seem to get enough time for gaming....

Maybe I'm sad, but am thinking of having a sickie tomorrow so I can play around with this![]()

I doubt it's the 'real' reason, but there is no denying that it will reduce stress on the disk drive and therefore reduce failure rates. Now lets see how long it takes for everyones harddrives to die!![]()
oh I bet there will be a few threads tomorrow

Quick question, since ive only had my xbox for a couple of weeks, if i switch my console on tomorrow before i leave the house will it update itself or does it still need to be 'accepted' eg Push A to start download.

Presumably it will be like every other update, when your console is powered on and connects to Live the update is triggered.
As rp said you need to accept the first update, which basically changes the look and then accept a second update for all the avatars and other guff.
Also I must say that I am looking forward to being able to browse the marketplace on the web. I'm glad they implemented this, if only I could turn my console on remotely that would make the download queing feature slightly better.
It has always prompted in the past, it never just auto installs.Presumably it will be like every other update, when your console is powered on and connects to Live the update is triggered.

Can preview members already do this or is this only from 19th? (ca';t check as xbox.com is down for maintenance atm, I think)
