Maybe I'm sad, but am thinking of having a sickie tomorrow so I can play around with this

Turned my xbox on and it updated itself (I had signed on to the preview program). Everything seems pretty good so far except the friends list in the dashboard, there doesn't seem to be any way of telling who is online unless you open their profile which is irritating.

It is arranged in the same order as the Guide Friends List, except horizontally.

So Online, Alphabetically, followed by Offline, Alphabetically.

Everyone who signed up to early access thing awhile ago will get in today. The rest will need to wait till tomorrow.

Which is all well and good but at a glance you can't see if a person is online - so if it were just the first person on my list online, how would I tell he was online unless I checked his profile?

Edit: I am assuming it will work when everyone has an avatar so offline peopel would be shown sleeping or something.

theyve finished updating it, major difference being the xbox marketplace is now viewable on there (or will be tomorrow )

It's not saying that the launch is at 2pm, it's saying the sweepstakes run from that time.

That would be perfect timing however, it would let my 360 have a few more months life before I replace it with something that lasts longer than 6 months.
