O&O Defrag - change run midway from SPACE to STEALTH ?

Hi

giving my laptop a defrag , yes , way overdue . . .

started on "space" after running the 5-part checkdisk option to fix a minor error

onky realised now that "stealth" would be a faster option for a first defrag pass

i can do another one in a week or so

Q) SPACE is running, can I pause it and change to STEALTH ?

I am a bit nervous of changing a defrag halfway through

I can't remember off the top of my head if you can actually change the defrag type when paused - if it will let you, then I don't see any problems doing it.

Your best bet is just to stop the defrag and then run stealth.
 
If you use the built in pause/stop buttons, then it won't cause any problems.

Turning your PC off by ripping the power lead out when it's doing a defrag will cause corruption. But the inbuilt buttons will make it do the action you choose after it's finished with the current file/segment
