I never use it , only use it for the net and texting
So you followed the crowd then? A little stupid no?

Was it a 24 month contract?
£50 x 24 = £1200
The only justification for any contract like that is if you need 900+ minutes, and even then you're being shafted.
.
It was a good deal at the time because instead of paying £199 for handset , I was gonna pay £15 extra for 9 months which was £135 so I was going to save money , this is what O2 advisors said to me when I rang to find out about the iPhone 4, i am going to wait till my 9 months is up first which I think is end if this month and see what they say
this is a email i got today after asking for a downgrade
Thanks for emailing us.
I checked you records and can see that you were told that you can
downgrade your tariff to next lower tariff, which is £41 18 months
contract.
I've given the details of the tariff below:
- £41.00 as monthly line rental.
- 1200 free minutes within the UK
- Unlimited text messages within the UK (media and messaging abroad
aren't included)
- Web Daily Bolt On (You can access 50 MB of Data with a maximum charge
of £1.02 per day)
Your iPhone Data Bolt-on will be removed when you'll downgrade to the
above mentioned tariff.
As our new tariffs don't include any free data allowances. You'll need
to purchase any of the below mentioned Bolt On according to your
requirement:
1) Basic £3 - 100 MB
2) All Rounder £6 gives you 500MB + Unlimited wifi + 20MMS (Multi Media
messages)
3) The works £10 gives you 1 GB of data + Unlimited wifi + 50 MMS (Multi
Media messages)
The simple fact is, you can't trust anything a network says to you. They won't back down unless you're really lucky.
