O2 Sync Speeds dropping

I am on the 20mb O2 package and I used to get sync speeds of about 15mb but now for some reason the best I can get is 11.5mb when I login to the o2 site and check my package it says the max my line can have is 12mb info provided by BT??

Thing is it used to sync at 15mb, does anyone know anything I can do to get it back up again?

I'm using the standard o2 router at the minute but if there are any better routers with more configuration options that would improve my connection i'd be willing to upgrade if someone can recommend one.

Thanks

Are you using the wireless II box? If you use the 'super user' login for your router (can google for details) you can give us more stats. It sounds like you might have been put on a higher snr profile to improve stability at some point. If you've got a high snr when you check your stats you might just want to call o2 to put you on the default profile (providing your lines stable).

Heres the stats from the super user login

Yeh your download snr is quite high (6db is default and you're at 11). If you give them a call im sure they'll be able to reset your profile giving you a higher sync. However you've had a loss of signal within 15hrs which may suggest some instability on the line, thats probably why they've incresed your noise margin profile for extra stability therefore decresing your sync. I'd just give them a call to reset your margins and see how it goes, you can always ask them to change it back :) You've got a similar line to me looking at your attenuation, its pretty much exactly the same and i've had to do all this recently.
