ok, so ive installed oblivion today, setting up graphics options (of which theres a ton)

turn HDR on = "bloom is not supported when HDR is on"
turn Anti aliasing on = "HDR is not supported when Anti aliasing is turned on"

so, bloom, AA or HDR ??? ive got an X1800XT 512mb which i thought could do HDR and AA but apparently not  :(

EDIT: funny, just went back into the game and bloom + HDR are on ... im confused

thanks, may need to do a little overclocking too, finally found a game that can make the X1800XT 512 judder a touch! i tell you what though, when i saw that opening sequence... i nearly wet myself...

any tips on what shadows i should turn on / off ? the HDR is ******* fantastic!

I just have everything turned up to max on mine atm :) As already said there is a beta hotfix to allow HD/AA, havent tried it yet because i just upgraded to 6.4 but i might go back to 6.3 and see what it is like (especially as 6.4 gives me a nice glitchy screen at windows start up, who the hell tested these drivers before they went public).

One other thing i would suggest is downloading the mods for high res terrain and better shadows.

Cant find a link to the shadows mod here but im sure someone has it. These dont effect performance very much and make the game a lot more pretty :)
