The dungeons weren't that bad. The Ayleid ruins were generally fairly good, though they did obviously contain 'sections' that were repeated its believable thats how they were built, same goes for the castles really.
The natural caves were pretty dull. They were all 'grand large entrance corridor' followed by 'corridor barely 5ft square', 'big cavern/low ceiling room', 'corridor barely 5ft square' leading to 'another big cavern/low ceiling room'.
Oblivion Gates were the worst though... only 7 different ones which were generally interesting the first time but rapidly got repetitive. At least if you just ran past everything you could bypass things pretty easily and hop between floors and around the outside of the tower if you were only interested in the sigil stones.
You guys making me want to play and mod Oblivion again
There is one thing that really bugged me about Oblivion, the vampire cure quest. I remember doing that quest with my slim beautiful elf-lady and coming out a bloated man women thing, I couldn't take my character seriously anymore
Every time I re visited the game I've avoided the same quest and making sure I cured the disease. Did any of the mods fix the problem?, I remember last time I played there wasn't anything really solid other than using a program to replace the toon face.
Yes, or a bashed patch. But regardless of Bash, the Unofficial patches are absolutely essential - they fix so much broken content it's not true. I really can't imagine playing a Bethsoft game on a console for this reason.
