Hi all, what's a good host for a personal business website please? Need company email domain but there won't (currently) be huge storage requirements.

Probably going to snaffle both the .co.uk and .com.

I've heard about 20i - any advances on this?

Stablepoint, Allhost.io, Krystal.

You'll be able to setup 'pop' mailboxes with most hosts although personally for business emails, i would opt for Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

Thanks. Interesting, could I check how this works? Would the email be @microsoft.com rather than @<business name>.com?
Typically you would use your own domain name(s) although, in the case of Microsoft 365, you are given a subdomain of 'onmicrosoft.com' as well which is useful for testing.
And MS365 does offer trials (usually 30-days but some can be extended to 60-days) of their licenses and you only need to license physical mailboxes (in a typical setup this would be per user); shared mailboxes and distribution lists/groups aren't licensed but they need to be assigned to a licensed mailbox/user. Small Business licenses - https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/business - 'Basic' is 50GB mailbox, 1TB OneDrive and online apps; 'Standard'/'Premium' also includes desktop MS Office suite apps and other features.

Google Workspace is similar.

Thank you, very helpful!

Okay so I might need to look at moving from Stablepoint. Since September (roughly) I've had non stop intermittent performance issues things such as

- Slow to resolve domain
- Images/styling taking a while to load in
- Backend WP issues such as it taking 15-60 seconds to update a page or save them options
- Database errors (Establishing connection)

There's no issues with the sites. All optimised for performance the best they can be (Cache/webp etc)

Again, when it works it's fantastic. But these issues are making me think twice

Does anyone have any suggestions other than Krystal? Ideally, reseller so all sites are in their own cPanel

Knownhost
Allhost

I currently have sites with both.

Very happy with customer support from Knownhost. Currently testing Allhost as I wanted a cheap option to host single site in a UK Datacenter, and so far very pleased.

Can you jump on live chat, let them know your site and ask for me (Dom) and I'll take a look, sounds like something is misbehaving somewhere :)

Massive jump in price from stablepoint.

Don't seem to want to drop the price for old customer's either . Think if I put my customer's prices up nearly 40 % I'd have little left.

We've seen a huge increase in our hosting on various platforms including AWS, I can only assume these wholesale price increases are being passed on to customers.
