OCD, what's yours?

Well I used to think you were born with it but it seems it's within anyone's scope. I'm 52 and suffer horribly from the one I mentioned earlier, but I've never always had it, only developed it within the last 6 years or so.

i'm slightly similar with the duvet thing. in the recent heat wave i havent needed one obviously but ive still needed to cuddle up to a pillow or had the duvet over my feet to be able to sleep. I think it's a comfort thing. im ok if im with someone though.

You remind me of a old friend up of the 1st year of high school he would suck his thumb holding a tea towel

I count things without realising I'm doing it, doors, windows, chairs, steps, people etc. Not even sure how I realised, I think my wife noticed it somehow.

I see patterns and sequences in shapes and numbers all the time.

We all have quirks I suppose :)

my mouse pad must be spotless before i use it.

when walking down the street with someone, i must walk on the same side of the path i started the whole way. i often ask people to swap if we end up changing when crossing the road or something.

i get really annoyed if i walk slowly as i see it as a complete waste of time.

ummmm will edit if i think of more.

I grew out of it, I use to be the last out of the house in the morning and I would walk up the drive and check that I had locked the door, even would walk back down the street to check, was very annoying, I just drew a blank, had I locked the door a not and every time I had.

Everything no matter what it is, i need to do it in odd numbers, feel horrible i eat say 1 chip instead of 2. Also i don't like sleeping facing the wall, i have to be facing the door incase any bad men come to get me, if i am facing the wall i turn to look over my shoulder every 20 seconds or so.

Some more like poor memory than an ocd

I also must sleep on the very end of my bed - not in the middle. My pillows and sleeping position is like this:

I shift at time intervals of precisely five or ten minutes too. If my clock says 1243, I wait till 1245, and shift to the other side.

that *could* kill you.

Probley will when I get older and weaker, but now It makes me stressed out for sure, got to keep my mind busy so I forget about doing it and it goes automatic. Trying to sleep is a nightmare, must always have a TV on to help distract me

You will only pass out if then your body will automatically start breathing for you

once the co2 level in blood hits a certain amount it will trigger the breathing reflex
