Octavia VRs

Fox is right, the vRS MK1 interior is decidely low rent for a VAG car imo(solid tho). the MK2 wasnt much better, annoyingly the interior in the L&K version was actually decent faire

Ever thought of a Volvo s40 t4? 200BHP standard easy remap to 240+ and fairly cheap well in your price range. Or even the s40 T5 a bit more money but a newer model.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the interior on the Mk2 vRS - it's a comfy place to be.
But as this thread is about the Mk1 I see no need to even talk about the Mk2.

please just don't get a yellow one.

Don't worry. I won't. I don't like the red either.

I would prefer one in silver or black. If I were to get a MKII (which I'm not by the way) I would get it in blue.

Colourcode the grill? As in black slats to silver? God no.

Way out of my budget mate.

To be honest I think it looks better in chrome, looks very bland without it.

i always liked the Octavia, especially the vRS, nice cars, you certainly get a lot of car for your money when buying used.

I have just got back from looking at a car and am pleased to say that I am now an owner of a silver Octavia vRS.

No need to colour code the grill as it is matching the colour of the vehicle.

Anyway, it has 60k miles on the clock, 12 months tax for nothing and one year warranty. Very tidy car makes a nice noise when you come off the throttle. Quiet engine note compared to my Accord Type R.

I'll get some pictures up next week as I'm collecting it next Saturday.

6k is LCR money tbh which has more power and looks infinitely better, inside and out.

More power yes, but personally, I don't think that it does look better, inside or out. And I used to own a Leon. Then again, I am not a fan of compact hatch's, the Octavia is a better looking car I think (except from head on), it's got some boot for one, and I like the slightly more angular design.

The interior is fine, similar to the Leon, but based on the Golf rather than the A3. Both the Leon and the Octavia feel like they have been built to a budget inside but not in a nasty tacky really bad way, just the lower down plastic and some of the less obvious bits are clearly a bit cheap, but then they aren't expensive cars so you can't really complain to much, to be fair, they are better than a lot of their competition.

nice one.

remap it. now. :p

Not whilst it's under warranty. Maybe after that.

Man, I am going to save so much money in petrol. No more having to use Shell Optimax, no more low 20's mpg. :D
