Hadn't even heard of this and I'm in one of the postcodes in their list (despite search not finding it). I've just signed up, or at least, I've tried to sign up, I went through the process and apparently they'll get back to me.

Do you mean powerups or the new one as of tomorrow?

Powerups are great if you get them. Been running almost a year, and has been almost 90 in that time.
Most days they are within the 1pm-5pm time zone, normally 2 or 2.5 hours.

There is a power up for those eligible and a free energy session at the same time tomorrow.

Unlike saving sessions there is no tracking you can see for powerups and as they have been going for almost a year they do not seem inclined to change that.
The free energy session is the same format, the webform.

@Feek the power up email will start with "Power-ups" the free energy one with "FYI:Fancy free energy" both come from Pete

For powerups its going to need to see something change to extend the areas IMO
Its based on there being a surplus they cannot export out of the area so you need something to come online locally that generates an excess.
At least thats my understanding.

Yeah like I said yesterday its the same as the powerups, which after a year of going live still work this way.

I just take a screenshot of the your in splash page and date it for the date of the powerup.
Its really for my records so I know if I did or didnt sign up.
To be fair I have almost 100 powerups paid since it started and every one I have signed up for has been paid so whilst the system is pretty clunky, it does work.

Well I had a powerup so was 13-15:30 for me.
Roughly 10kwh into batteries, 6kwh for immersion, a load of washing and a dishwasher load, around 18kwh in total I think.
PV was flicking around the 3 or so average though around that time. So net import probably more like 10kwh.

Oh and just noticed on email another powerup tomorrow, same time

Need to keep enough batt for 5:30-10:30 tomorrow morning. So will probably just dump batts towards end of that time, after using grid from 11:30pm tonight.

I signed up for both yesterday. (The 1-2 came through before the notification about the power up). Will be interesting to see what happens at billing.

Same for me, but I never received any confirmation in regards the 1-2 one.

Agile is looking like it could have a lot of negative pricing tomorrow so I'm holding off until 4 before I sign up.

Ah so a nice powerup coming tomorrow and "If a Power-up and a Free Electricity Session coincide, you'll only get credited for the Power-up (the more valuable reward)."

I found it hard to make use of negative daytime pricing with solar, same with these sessions.

I dump my batteries before the sessions (15p export FTW) and then recharge when its free/very cheap

Aren't we boned for free sessions after a while, because our pump and dump usage will alter the overall average/baseline?

Nope, days when there are sessions are excluded from the calcs, they operate like saving sessions.
