I will just add that usually it's the most recent games that seem to win these awards, Crackdown was out in February so no wonder it's fallen off the radar of many players - especially after such a bumper year.

You can get it new for £13 now too. Ordered it today after i noticed a few posts on here praising it.

COD4 Hands Down. Saying that though i've yet to put more than 20 mins into the single player.

if any thing else other than COD4 wins, it will be an absolute shambles, it's by far and away the best game this year, without any question.

Close though to me is bioshock, thoroughly enjoyed that game, as it was something different to *** FPS genre, with a beautiful story line and asthetics.

Not played Mario Galaxy to comment, but i'd imagine that would be quite high up the list, to the major fans out there

Call Of Duty 4 gets my vote. Such a bloody good game both online and offline.
