Top sli (2 cards ) mark, my cpu (or should i say motherboard) is defiantely holding me back (i know it does 4ghz stable in an ip35, can't get it past 3.6ghz stable in this 680i), should be able to get at least another 1k out of that with a bit more on the old cpu.
nice score viper, what 680i board are you using if you dont mind me asking
BFG Rev. D00
Awaiting either skulltrail or a decent nvidia chipset, as it appears the 780i's perform pretty much identically to the 680i's
It's purely the raw power of a quad core that wont allow it to clock, i had an e6400 stable at 4ghz on this exact board, 500fsb stable is pretty much godlike for a 680i board..
Even if i lower the multiplier, i can't get it stable at a higher fsb, the may be an fsb hole however, as i did manage 450x8 prime stable for about 6 hours before it gave up, that was with a voltage increase though. requires 1.416v (in windows) for 9x400, required 1.46 (again, in windows) for 8x450, and that wasn't stable after the 6th hour had passed, so a little more needed i think. Decided with 400x9 because the temperature difference was something like 71°c to 59°c.
Here's my ATI card for the Dual Core / Single Card Top20.
e8400 @ 3.9ghz (433x9)
GeCube 3850Pro 512mb @ 905/1000
4gb PC5300 Ram
12849
beats all of the single card 3870XT's and most of the 8800GT's posted so far.
My eagerness got the better of me again. Now submitted and currently #96th overall and the fatsted single ATI card on a Dual Core (#19th). 12849 l bet that doesn't last for long.i don't see your score on the recent submissions. go and read the first post again.
