**OCUK Age Of Conan Clan**

Isn't it where you actually play the game as if it was you in real life or something weird along those lines...

Roleplay is quite the opposite of real-life, it's a persona made in fantasy that you take on which can be similar to your real self or completely different.

I'm no roleplayer, but I will be rolling on RP-PvP with my guild, I won't be participating in any roleplaying either. We're heading there to try and find a more mature community as we really want to be away from the l33t kidz and griefers, yet at the same time we want a competitive server as we're PvPers.

Ok so does it mean that you cant go attacking people like on an FFA-PvP server? Does there have to be a reason behind PvPing...I don't quite get the concept. I was nearly set on PvE simply because I didn't want to go PvP and not enjoy it because I'm being attacked every 2 seconds in the border kingdoms.

The server is identical mechanically to a PvP server, however due to the RP ruleset yes you do need a reason to kill someone and a reason that's better than "I'm roleplaying a griefing, homicidal maniac.", it doesn't have to be a roleplaying reason though, it could be as simple as "He's killing mobs I want to kill, so I killed him, then the mobs." but I bet you that you'd rarely be asked to justify yourself and it'll be more like a loose set of guidelines for play.

I personally think that there will still be a level of griefing, but it'll be much less so than the FFA PvP servers, and I think in general the community will be much more mature. As i've said i'm not really one for RP especially in a fantasy setting, but I'm definately interested in having an enjoyable, fun and competitive environment to play in. As I have a busy RL due to work and my other half, the last thing I want is one of my precious gaming nights being ruined by some corpse camping, griefing son of a *****.

Hmmm interesting, if thats the case I may just join an Rp-PvP server, quick question do you know whether the Rp-PvP servers still have PvE quests. Is it basically PvE with PvP added on?

All the types have quests on, PvE, PvP and RP-PvP, they all have the same quests on, all that changes is where/when you can fight and whether or not you are under RP rules

The Border Kingdoms are free-for-all PvP anyway, even on the PvE servers. The only people who can't attack you are your guildies. On the plus side, the only people whom you can't attack are your guildies.

;)

Grrr thanks but now you've made my decision even harder :/ I have no idea what server to go on now. Its between Rp-PvP or PvE.

If you plan to do no Roleplaying you are adding nothing to the server, and taking up slots of people who would roleplay.

so in rp-pvp can u kill a guy who is stealing your mobs ? like kill steals ?

Yes in PvP and Rp-PvP you can see someone, and run up and kill them. An effective time to do this is when they are low on health after fighting the mob, just keep an eye open to make sure his friends dont come and find you and do the same to you for a couple of hours :)

oh well i played some mmorpg before in pvp server and they had some noob zones that you could not pk it was good idea as higher lvl people might come and kill all the low lvls. they should have made that in conan.

but i guess i go in pvp server as i was one the mad persons that was aiming for most kill points (pvp points) and then i had to leave my character overnight that my name would not be red anymore :D
