OcUK Beers of the World Mk2 Weekly Results - Round K & Voting for 'M'

Yeah got the James bit and I know it is allowed under the revised rules, not quite sure why yours went to the vote

If you look at the list of people that received points, they ALL had King in their name. Anyone who didn't ended up on the 'list' as nothing was set in stone nor agreed. If you feel it should be allowed, then vote a YES :)

With you, my mistake, I thought all kings names were allowed automatically.

In that case..............................

Seabiscuit and Windle Yes.

Everyone else....... Nah :p

For what it's worth, I cant see how there's even a discussion about Seabiscuits entry. James is the name of 2 English kings and 6 scottish ones. Couldn't get a better entry.

Oh, and I vote for France.

The only reason it was added to the list was simply because of the 'Rev.' James part. I have to attempt to cover all sides and any possible arguments, hence it's presence.

EDIT: Country voting updated :)

Yep, the only one I think should really receive points is Windle with his effort Caesar Augustus who was Emperor of the Roman Empire. But I grudgingly accept Seabiscuits effort and by extension robfosters entry of "Lancaster" based on DJs earlier statement.

Yep, I'm perfectly happy for it to be on the iffy vote. I'd asked questions because I was unsure myself, so I'm fine going with what everyone decides. Although obviously I'm hoping for a hundred points to put me in the lead. :p

And yeah, America I guess for my vote too. Mostly because outside of Anheuser-Busch big name "sex in a canoe" beers, their craft breweries make some amazing beers. And some that use Nelson Sauvign and so smell like a stagnant ditch, but hey, each to their own.

i'm gutted, thats all i can say. my king entry didn't reach you.

i had the humpty dumpty brewery the king john as mine :( and it was bloody nice too.

none of the dodgy ones should be alowed, none have 'king' in the name. simple as.

my M vote is for belguim.

Don't want to make anyone unhappy, but my views:

  • [*](A) DirtyJester - Guinness Black Lager
Black as in a Black King ie. the Chess piece.

I like the idea, but the name doesn't directly have anything to do with a King.

    No

[*](B) Ahleckz - Stone Brewing Co. Arrogant ******* Ale

This is a hard one (because of the word arrogant). However, their website directly talks abouts people of illegitimate birth of which William The ******* was, so:

    Yes

[*](C) Seabiscuit - Brains Brewery The Rev. James

Wasn't sure about this one... But James I was a Protestant King, so:

    Yes

    [*](D) Windle - Caesar Augustus

Caesar Augustus was technically the Emperor of Rome, which I think is what the beer refers to so:

    No

[*](E) robfosters - Thwaites Lancaster Bomber

Afraid it's like DJ's beer. Tenuous link.

    No

    [*](F) Repta - Robinson's Old Tom

Old Tom is technically the cat, so gonna have to say:

    No
