OCUK - Best Game of the Year / Worst Game of the Year

Best: Skyrim

Worst: Probably a toss-up between DNF & Brink. Only played the demo's but was unimpressed.

MW3 deserves an award for least effort made...
 
Best: Skyrim (absolute epic) & Minecraft 1.0 & Dungeon Defenders are close runner-ups.

Worst: I would agree with general opinion about CoD series, BF3 and Duke Nukem. The reviews and forum comments about multiplayer hacks, poor stability, no innovation, etc have made me stay away from even playing the demos.
 
BEST: BF3, Ive really enjoyed this not having played any multiplayer in anyother BF series so it was a breathe of fresh air.

WORST: Serious SAM BFE....good god this game has some major glitches. I know its a throw back to years gone by and i did enjoy the other 2 but for me there is a reason games like Doom, Sam and Duke are remembered fondly but fail when rebooted in this generation.
 
I love Skyrim, but can I vote for Bastion instead? :p

Doesnt look like anyone else is going to though, so just make my vote count for Skyrim.

Worst game of the year - DA2.
 
Some of these suggestions are just mind blowing, is everyone drunk already?

I understand personal opinion and all that but I have noticed a few suggesting BF3 as the worst game this year. Honestly?
 
GOTY: Skyrim (pc) taking into consideration the 360 games ive played then LA noire is up there aswell.

Worst: As many others have mentioned BRINK. Promised so much but was awful (Although did play it on the the 360 it was the first game Ive ever traded in)
 
Best: Bastion. I loved that game.

Worst: Not bought any bad games this year since I haven't pre ordered anything. Crysis 2, I guess. I bought that. It wasn't a bad game as such but it's unbelievable how much they dumbed down the original Crysis.
 
Best - Trackmania 2, closely followed by Portal 2
Worst - Red orchestra 2. One of the only times I feel like I deserve my money back. It plays like total garbage, despite my system playing BF3 with no problems
 
Best: Witcher 2
Worst: Duke Nukem Forever

Other great games this year: Skyrim/BF3/Dungeon Defenders/Dead Space 2/AC4/Deus Ex HR.

Doesn't work for loads of people online, me included, so I'm not actually surprised. All I have to go on when looking at BF3 is the single player, which was distinctly average.

Personally I'm glad to see a lot of the indie titles up there as loads of them are some of the most surprising games of this year for me personally.
 
Best: Skyrim
Worst: Rage

At least with DNF I actually finished it, didn't grab me and I don't really have time to play games I don't want to.
