I missed the chance to vote but of the two that are on five votes each I'd go with August 1914, sounds like a more interesting book and happily it isn't written by everyones favourite disgraced Tory peer.

OK I have emailed hopefully for an extra two days of poll-time, This book club does fall in the middle of some of my final year exams so I may not be as attentive as before but will check daily to make sure it is running smoothly.
