yip its better than before.

I see some folk getting into the 700's with the 4690k but there running some mental overclocks... Im happy at the 4.5Ghz and its doing everything I want it to do. :)

Plus I wouldn't like to run it with anymore vcore than ive got on it 24/7

do some of these folk just ramp it up to benchtest then turn it down for everday use?

Yep just ramp it up just for benches and also it helps clocking the ram and getting lower timmings on the ram.

yea Ill just leave it the way it is. Im more than happy on how it runs and tbh unless it was a spare system I woulnt be chasing numbers on benchmarks Im to scared I mess it up :D

Next year I may put together a system that I can play with and see what numbers I can get but right now this ones getting kept safe.

What about overclocking the ram.

Been doing a little messing about with this 5820k, see what i can get out of it.

Only tested so far at 32x125, (4ghz). Auto voltage which maxed at 1.238v.

4500mhz.

Seems to be a bug with cpuz, only shows a max of 34x. Double checked in bios and it is definitely at 36x.

Hi there

Decided to build myself a new rig out of all the ES parts floating around on my desk:

E5-2699 ES @ 2.90GHz on all cores (upto 3.73GHz turbo single core)
Asus Sabertooth
Corsair 3000MHz C14 16GB Quad kit at 2250MHz 10-11-11-24-T1 (1.35v)
Intel 1.2TB ES SSD

It is pretty good at Cinebench it seems. :D
