OCUK Civilized South-Eastern Lunch MkIV (Now with more E46 M3?)

My car is currently clean, therefore I will not be driving it at all this week in an effort for it to remain in that state for Saturday :p

If it makes you feel any better, my car is a sea of swirl marks, scratches and stone chips, encased in a crusty layer of muck.

I need to give it a proper going over, but as it is so cold and wet, it will only be getting a wash, clay, and a once-over with Sonax BSD.

So it will be shiny, but very swirly on Saturday. :D

Just wash it again on Saturday :p

Prewash, Two buckets, polish and wax so more than a few hours. Plus the next time I give it a proper wash I need to get the cutting compounds out to use with the dual action, try to rid the car of dealer inflicted swirls :(.

I'm glad that my car is old and isn't expected to have perfect paint :p

if it makes any of you feel better, I've got outside rust, 2 curbed alloys and one very messy alloy :o wash? pfth, 2 weeks ago maybe..

yup!

All about that anodised Alfa :p

My car is a bit rusty on the bottom! Needs some underseal, but will have to wait until summer when the car is dry.

Stupid Jap rubbish. My Polo was 3 years older and didn't have a spot of rust on it... :p

yup! plus mine is a bit on the extreme side, will get tidied up but same as acme, waiting for better weather so I can lift the car up and sort it out!

garage wants £700 for underbody and 300 for wind + bootlid.. pfth

I take it that is more than just an undersealing then... Undersealing should be about £200, or anywhere from £50 upwards if you know a friendly mechanic!

yeah, lots of surface rust on the underbody! from 2004 to 2007 they had rubbish rust proofing, mine is EARLY 2007, I believe it just missed the improved rust proofing hence the rust.. ah well! live and learn and check under car eh! just something you wouldn't expect on a 2007 car :o

You may be the first person ever to tell two owners of Japanese cars that they wouldn't have the issues they are having if they bought Italian... :p

well, with italian, it'd be sitting in a garage because something would be broke, how is it going to rust if it never touches water ;) :D

I'm a definite for this :) Won't be able to stick around until too late in the afternoon though.

Looks like my car will be the slowest one there so I'm happy to stay at the Woodman :p :D

Awesome, updated :)

Haven't washed mine since a few weeks before Christmas and won't get the time before Saturday. Unless I'm feeling generous enough to donate £10 to sponsor a child in eastern Europe, mine will be filthy lol.
