Nice to see we're getting a lot of interest :D

I think all of the names submitted so far are good so I would ask Yewn to put them all to poll!

1) Overclocked Gamers - [OCG]
2) Battallion of Over Clockers (for the win) - [BOC]
3) Overclocking Gamers - [OCG] (again :p)
4) The good old [OcUK] tag

I've not read anything above that indicates that it is in anyway a problem to use it, so long as it is not in an official competition scenario?

I've been using the tag on BF2 for a while now and it is a great way to team up with other forum members. I find that squads comprising other [OcUK] players work very well together.

I only use it in COD2 though.

You can't go changing the tag thats been used for so long already

The "for the win" bit was a joke. ;)

I also vote for just keeping the OcUK tag.

I was invited to join a CSS clan called BOC once. I don't know if they're still around or not though!

Made it into a poll for you, will go into suggestions after we identify if people mind the current tag, I think I know the result anyway. :p
 
I enjoyed pwning some OcUK people on some BF2 server I found, made me feel nice and fuzzy inside especially as my kill ratio was 12:1 (and no I wasn't in a vehicle)
 
I voted for a different tag.
It's the OcUk tag that stops me getting involved.
OcUK is a business and is lead by 1 man. Anything that publicly represents Oc will have to conform to his rules. I have No problems with his rules on the boards as it makes for a great forum but i would have a problem obeying rules when i am fighting.
I have online gamed for years and things happen that kick off arguments and petty squables. You have all sorts joining the clan and not giving 2 ***** about how they represent the Tag. This i think would cause problems.
Also the casual attitude of the gamers here would make it real hard to maintain order amonst the clan.
If you wore the OcUK tag you would have to act accordingly at ALL times or feel the backward wrath of the Dons/OcUK.
I beleive a good clan could be made from members but only if it was completely seperated from Oc forum and shop business.

Good call, seeing as we can't be affiliated with the shop it cold make things more awkward in the long run.

Seeing as my old clan is in tatters I'd be up for this.
 
I would happily put 100% into building a BF2 clan.
But having said that Be Warned, I am not a nice leader and would Demand 100% effort from all members and would be aiming for the Top.
Please do not even consider me unless a Serious clan is wanted.

Bit quick on the draw, aren't we?

Count me out if this is going to turn into some hard-core gamer fest. I was under the impression that this would just be a casual sort of group for members of the forum to play together, and not much else.

Malc makes it sound like you guys will be training a squad of gestapo, don't have the time or the patience for that kind of play.

My name was put forward and hints were posted for me to do something Weeks ago.
I don't like the rolleyes for starters.
All i have done is posted my thoughts.

You are right on one thing though i would be training a Gestapo for BF2. I would want all my clan members to be complete and utter murdering *******.
I want killers and dedicated gamers Not casual noobs who flit to another game as soon as it comes out.

Like i said i only put my thoughts forward it is up to everyone else to decide what THEY want.
 
Count me out then, I just wouldn't fit-in with that kind of "murdering psychotic OTT gestapo" clan.

I play games to relax, not to get all worked up and make a job out of it.

P.S. You don't like the rolleyes? I don't like how you're calling casual gamers "n00bs." Even.

completely the wrong way to go about forming a clan fella

for a clan to work it has to be dedicated yes but above all fun for its members
ive ran two dedicated clans on a few different ladders/competitions and it isnt easy, you have to be diplomatic both within and outside the clan.

imo, decide on the whether its a multi-platform gaming clan, recruit and get a website setup with a seperate forum. open an irc channel on quakenet so that you can discuss it in detail privately so ego's do not get hurt.

im willing to help, but everyone needs to be open to ideas until a structure is in place.
