Ok, everything is right because I re-installed Crysis then ran the benchmark straight after the install because previously my score was too low for a GTX. Would you like me to video it?

I'm sure everything is right, just perhaps try re-installing Crysis.

This is really helpful actually! Nice one Garusan. Be nice to see if amount of RAM had an effect on FPS too though.

Here's mine:

29.575
Blackout
A64 4400x2 @ 2211mhz
3870 @ 837 & 1261
Windows XP Home

Yes but it makes very little difference. Most people bench with it on high performance anyway its not really fiddling.

In which case let me redo mine.

edit: Even with optimal performance, the improvement was only 0.3fps. Not much to be worried about. Well within margins of error although im fairly sure it was an improvement rather than an error on my test with optimal performance.

I'm not even pushing my system...lmao. I love a quiet system and rightly so, it's more quiet than the Acer Turion64 laptop!

Pushing your graphics aint going to increase noise level and even pushing the cpu should not too if you got a big enough heatsink on it, you should crank that.

Indeed but heat levels do increase though and to compensate fanspeeds need to be increased manually to keep the temps down.

If I had a g0 Q6600 I would be at 3ghz 24/7 but at 2.6GHz the idle temps are almost dead on 60 per core with a F7P on AS5.

At the moment I have all fans at 50% power (GPU fan is stock 29% power of course) which gives me an ambient hum of airflow and nothing more.

But to be honest I game at 1680x1050 and not 1280x1024 so a test such as this means nothing to me nd the rumour of 9800 coming out in Feb/March is way more appealing :D

Idling at 60 degrees per core??? Is that actually normal? How cooler do the G0's run? Looks like my little OCZ Vindicator wont be good for any Q6600's
