I signed up to a cycling event a few months ago, costing £25, called 'Fight in the Forest'.
The event was supposed to be this coming Sunday but it was postponed as of 16 March (18 days notice
). I sent an email reply that same day requesting a refund and another yesterday and haven't heard a word. It seems others are experiencing the same.
I also just called the venue where the start was supposed to be held and they don't have any contact details other than the email address I've been trying to contact them on - not even a lead organiser's name.

This was a well publicised event, featured both in cycling magazines and online (example), but they seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth. The chap I spoke to at Beaulieu (starting location, but other than that have nothing to do with it) said they've been getting loads of calls about it so it's not just me who's not hearing back from them. He was also worried loads of people would turn up this weekend and it'd damage their reputation.
Now the site is through Wordpress so there isn't the usual WHOIS info for a phone number. Based on Streetview the address looks residential.
So, massive baked internet cookie if anyone can find a phone number or alternative contact details for this event. Or if anyone lives in Basingstoke then I'm sure there are other means...
