Just updated the list again :)

Thanks very much for all the help guys, especially Jon - that txt file was massive, and covered loads of crucial things :D

If anyone has any more things to add, please feel free to post here or send me an email.

This has been done before and failed. Quite a difficult list to compile but very informative. Good luck :)

Your RAID description is a bit vaugue:

Raid 0 = Striping with no parity or mirroring (2 hdd min)
Raid 1 = Mirrored array without the striping (2 hdd min)
Raid 5 = Stripped with distributed Parity (3 hdd min)
Raid 10 = Striping with Mirrored array (4 hdd min)

I couldnt think of a concise definition for striping sadly, could you add that to your correction please?

The drives dont need to be identical though, they dont even need to be the same size.

back to the top it goes.

add SPD.

Thanks for that.

I have added entries for SPD and XMP. I'm definately not an expert on these, would you be able to check that these entries are accurate. Any corrections or suggested changes are heartily welcomed.

Great thread idea. Also there is a typo in the BSOD entry

How about: AGP, VoIP, x86, x64

Thanks very much.

I will get on that typo ASAP and will make a start on those new additions, great suggestions :)
