OCUK Endomondo Team Thread

Oh i see it goes through all of your previous runs, way to remind me how much fitness i've lost in the past 6 months, Endomondo you douche!

[EDIT] Ah it seems i'm only up the top because Endomondo glitched on that run and added a little bit on my uphill stretch for some reason :/. Looks like i should be second for the 5k.

I have joined the group - my name is James Saunders. I only started running a couple of weeks ago, so I expect it'll be a while before I attempt even a 5k, let alone anything longer. Still, good to see what other people are up to, at least for motivational purposes :)

Most people seem to run out of puff at the 5K mark... Or think that 5K is a run :p ;) <---- tongue-in-cheek comment BTW...

No, no, it's true :p

I'm yet to run a full 10k I must confess, I've run 5.3miles a dozen times but I'm yet to figure our a route that's 10k without me either getting lost or having to do a repeat loop. Hopefully this group will help motivate me to do so.

It wouldn't be cheating as anyone can do it.... Does it actually show anything other than you can run 1 mile fast?

You could go even further and use a proper running track or treadmill to do all the challenges thereby taking all the disadvantage of terrain out of it as well as this affects times quite a bit (I have a 320ft elevation rise for one of my 5K runs :p)....

Personally I will just run as normal and see how I go. Besides, if you click on the "time", it takes you to the run so you can compare distance/elevation etc etc.

I hope you didn't take the altitude from the app as it says I went up and down over 500ft in 2 miles during my 1 mile time  lol.

Anyone can set up a challenge so just do it and post here :)

This arrived today, won it in one of the other challenges for July.
