OCUK Endomondo Team Thread

Just ran in my first ever event. I've signed up to the Weston Super Mare Prom Run Series. Nine five mile runs, one a month.

I ran a 38.10 :-) 5mins faster than my 5mile run last week.

I'm happy as that's about 1 month since I took up running, I ran 10k on Monday and 10k last night. I'm going to sleep well tonight!

im a little confused, in Endemondo and strava..

When i want to do a course, or a climb , sprint, or whatever, how do you go about doing this?

Do you just ride to the location and select it on your phone? or can you set it so it starts doing it when you get to the start point? as i want to record my whole joruney in one go, but have the courses recorded too, so for example, if a course for example (a hill in this case) is on my route will it take my reading for the hill course if im already having the programs running from the start of my journey (my house) ?

You dont need to do anything. Just record your whole ride and strava/endomondo will work out what segments you've ridden through and where your fastest times are from the whole thing.

200km+ of training and BOOM. Finished my first Half Marathon today. Took place in Maidenhead - tore my calf muscle the day before - took 1000mg of ibuprofen and

Under 5 mins for every km is one heck of an effort! Congrats. Broke my half marathon PB today, screen shots to follow...

EDIT\ but thoroughly unimpressed that after 400km of running I'm 3mins slower than you :(
EDIT2\ Half a marathon is just over 21km, so you need to run 21.1km for it to show up as a half marathon in your Endomondo stats...

New half marathon PB today - 1:43.03

Knocking 11mins off my previous personal best and achieving my goal of sub 5min/km average so pretty pleased! (And sore!)

I did 10km today first time I have ran that distance in a long long time. Was only going to do a 4.5 mile loop but I added a bit on, got near home and realised I wasn't far off 6 mile so carried on. Although my time is a little deceiving as I actually stopped for around 90 seconds - 2 minutes to sort music out on my phone and forgot to pause it :(

The run felt pretty good apart from my doms from the gym yesterday, any hills and my thighs were buuurning :D
Will try and improve on it again in the week I know I can do sub 45 min without much more effort, a 43 min would be nice.

Been running just over a month now.

Smashed my 10km pb last night. 51.50mins down to 47.27. Also knocked my 5km down to 22.47 from 23mins or so.

Feeling better and better.

Managed my first sub 30 minute 5k this morning, which means I am no longer at the bottom of the leaderboard for our challenge. Going to be a long while before I get anywhere near the next fastest person, but I am just glad to be off the bottom of the list!

Just joined the team. Do I need admin approving or anything?
Nope, it just takes a while for the challenges to update after you've joined. It seems to process your new workouts much quicker once you've joined the challenge.

I hope you guys keep up the momentum and continue to log your workouts, especially through the weekend. I have entered myself for a half marathon in April, so I have lots of training to do :)
