** OCUK EXCLUSIVE - AK RACING & AROZZI GAMING CHAIRS **

I wonder if you will still like the chair in 12 months time if you do then i will buy one if the chair is still as good after 12 months of use.

Well I have been using the chair for just over 4 weeks now, pretty much 8+ hours a day Monday to Friday and have no complaints. That's over 160 hours of use. There are no signs of wear and it is still really comfortable.

The only problem I had was with the lumbar cushion in place, it reduced the seat depth and made it a little uncomfortable after a few hours. Removing the lumbar cushion has provided lots of seat space and it has made it immensely more comfortable allowing me to sit in it for 8+ hours without any back ache etc.

Surprisingly, the AK Racing chairs generally have some of the deeper seats of all the chairs on the market (as you can see from the table in the review) so using the lumbar cushion on some of those chairs would be way more uncomfortable.

Seeing the Arozzi enzo on offer this week I wondered what the primary differences are between them and the monza chairs (except the £20 price difference :p )

Hi, these chairs look great! I have size question for any owners though. Im looking at the AK racing Nitro chari, and although I checked the AK racing site for dimensions, I still have a couple of questions (mailed AK racing, they didn't reply). How wide is the chair at widest point, which looks like between the outer edges of the arm rests please, taken when arm rests are moved as close together as possible (if they move that direction)? Also, as low and as high as they go, how high is the top of the arm rests form the ground please?
I should point out, this isn't to satisfy my personal perversion for measurements; due to the desk I have, if I want to store the chair by pushing it into/under the desk, I have a width of 610mm and a height of 590mm (height irrelevant if arms go high enough to sit on desktop when I leave it). Also if anyone knows this chair wont fit, do you have any alternative that you think might work please?

Hi Mallers, I have the Player Gaming chair (you can see a review here: http://www.buzzpods.com/akracing-esports-gaming-chair-review/) which includes some dimensions. As you can see from the dimensions it is very similar to the Nitro, other than the seat height - maybe the Player Gaming has a different gas strut to the Nitro.

On the Player Gaming chair, the armrests do not move in and out, only up and down. The dimensions are:
  • Armrest to Armrest (inner): 490mm
  • Armrest to Armrest (outer): 645mm
  • Seat Height at lowest point: 430mm
  • Armrest at lowest point: 605mm (based on seat at lowest point)
  • Armrest at highest point: 685mm (based on seat at lowest point)
  • Seat Height at Highest point: 510mm
  • Armrest at lowest point: 685mm (based on seat at highest point)
  • Armrest at highest point: 755mm (based on seat at highest point)

Note that as the my chair is higher than the Nitro, you need to adjust the armrest heights by the equivalent amount.

Bit of a shame really as for that price I'd like to try them all out to find the perfect one. They look comfortable, but are they comfortable for sitting in 7+ hours a day, every day? That I'm not sure of

One does need to be able to test out a chair. If one size fitted all the manufacturer's would only do the one model, perhaps with different fabric / colours, but instead we see all sorts of different shapes and dimensions. With items this large DSR is going to have an extortionate cost so that isn't an option. Online reviews can only tell you so much. I recently sat on a friends chair (not an OcUK brand) and after only 2 minutes was already in discomfort due to the side wing things on the seat.

I need a new chair, but in the absence of anywhere to park my backside and test I suspect I will be visiting a well known flat pack superstore for something far less stylish. :(

If you need a chair for 7+ hours per day then you need one that was designed for it. Try out a Herman Miller chair at your local John Lewis if possible - I got one refurbished for about 25% of cost price (which was over a grand). Everything fully adjustable and extremely comfortable. You don't need to worry about quality control on these chairs either, just buy and forget about it. Should last you 20 years or more.

Ultimately, like most things, you get what you pay for. I'm sure these bucket style seats are fine for a quick hour on COD but longer sessions you will need something a bit better.

I sit in mine for at least 5-7 hours a day and I find it very comfortable.

I wouldn't refer to them as bucket seats as the back is adjustable

Carbon Black V2

Hi there Overclockers I have just taken delivery of a AK Racing V2 carbon black chair and while trying to assemble it I have removed the 4 bolts on the seat back to attach it with no problem. How ever I put all the bolts back in loosely to align the seat back to the seat and when tightening I came across a problem of 3 bolts would do up fine but the other one was only going in about 1/4 of the way and going tight, will call in the morning for a chat but just thought it should be shared on here incase anyone had this problem previously or knows how to get around it

Thanks for any help

More cost does not actually mean better quality, I bought the basic version and since November last year it has been used between 8 and 15 hours a day every day, Very comfortable and hard wearing.
