OcUK EXCLUSIVE - OCZ VERTEX LIMITED 100GB SOLID STATE

Hi Guys

I don't know if you have been keeping up with the other thread on the Crucual C300 (Crucial C300 SSD SATA III) >

but after the poor drop on the 128GB specs I have given up and pre-ordered The Vertex LE. I'm majorly annoyed at crucial for ruining the 128GB drive and I ain't nuts enough to pay for the 256GB.

Furthermore, there is only 1 person on the CRUCIAL SSD FORUMS who has the drive and he is currently having issues trying to get it to burst @ full pace off a PCI-E SATA III adapter >

Oh well ... iA the LE is a winner for me ...

SLACKWORTH - Just out of interest, how many pre-orders you got on this ? and how many are you getting in stock? (im sure there is no harm in giving that info ... )

Shipping weight isn't always an indicator. We had a whole pallet of GFX cards arrive the other day and the couriers delivery note said 10kg:confused:

Crucial seem to have dropped a bit of a bombshell with that one.

Got plenty of pre-orders but also a good amount spare unless you all decide to wade in tomorrow.
 
Hmm, Something tells me you wont see those speeds..

A Torqx drive with max 260Mb read cant get past 240Mbs due to onboard sata bottleneck.

If you want good speeds its only way is to raid them...

@ stanstead atm mwhahaha, do i presume you'l be ok to ship them out monday? only reason i ask is cause i gotta order up some memory and it might as well get bundled together
 
ahh ****, forgot about customs :( this old pc im using i borrowed off a m8.. it has an evaluation copy of win7 ultimate on it that expires in 2 days, need to get my new rig up n runnin before im stuck with no internet
