OCUK Fishermen Unite...

I like to fish. Used to enter competitions a few years back but tend to just do spinning in the summer nowadays.
I live near some awesome lakes and rivers. The River Thames and the River Thame are only 5mins away!

sea fishing.....off the beach and rocks in anglesey - wales, for the win here ;)

love sitting at the beach in a chair........no matter the weather, looking out to the open sea , so relaxing dosnt matter if i dont catch one fish when i go, such a big change of scenary from cheshire, does the world of good :)

I used to love going sea fishing on Anglesey. Sat on the rocks with a beer, catching Dogfish was loadsa fun. I even caught a Cuckoo ray once, weird looking fish :)

Nice one Griffy :) I've been after a nice common for ages now! Sadly my best capture this year is not a brilliant photo due to the amount of beer I'd had not allowing me to hold the fish very well!

Sadly the photo does the fish little justice. (It's 43lb 12oz)

Nice lump! Where was that from? Mines a small norfolk syndicate lake, with not that many carp in. Maybe one or two bigger to go for ;) A lot of my photo's are self takes with a 2 second timer. Makes things akward to get decent shots!

Had 6 pots down this summer, got an almost constant supply of lobster through the peak season, including my friend Larry

Mine was from France (It's cheating I know! :)) first time over in France and had that 43lb 12oz and a 41lb 4oz on the last and first day of the trip! Really recommend going if you're thinking about it, I found a lovely place called Avalon. www.ultimatefrenchcarping.co.uk/

Really good shots with a Self-timer, I saw someone with a digital camcorder on a tripod once that always seemed like a good idea, then just take a still image from that. I'm usually fishing with my brother so he’s always there to take photos for me, maybe one time I'll be able to return the favour for him! teehee.

"Mine was from France (It's cheating I know!" )

CHEAT! :D

Not tried french fishing yet, lack of time this year has meant I've caught all my fish on day sessions and pack up at sunset

Quite pleased with my shots, and as its a decent digital camera, some of them will blow up to A3 size no problem :)

Oops did I just resurect something??

Just getting back into fishing myself started abit of carp fishing in 2008 but didnt do any last year so I have decided to give it a go this year and cant wait :D

Lets see if anymore piccys have been taken since 2007 :D

Got back into Fishing over the last 4 months or so and loving it.

Thinking about doing a spot of Carp fishing this Sunday coming at Bury Hill though if the weather is nice is will be really busy, also going to Marsh Farms next Friday. :)

Used to be a coarse angler in the UK (hard to avoid carp if you're into fishing). Since being in Malaysia for past 5 years or so I have got back into fishing and do much less freshwater fishing with bait. I tend to do a lot more lure fishing and lots more sea fishing. Tropical sea fish are TURBO charged.

Just been reef fishing off the coast of north devon (ilfracombe), was good fun, only had 3 dogfish but still, the weather was good and it was only £15 for 2 and a half hours so who am I to complain?

Off deep sea fishing in st lucia in a couple of weeks though so that will be mental :D

Long term maggot drowner here as well :)

Course, Carp & Tench in particular are my bag.

Biggest Carp is only 18lb 4oz, but caught it off the top with a dog biscuit using 10lb main line and Drennan Double Strength 6lb hook link :)

Have done a bit of fishing in the Gambia as well, haven't caught anything big....yet. But did enjoy catching a Puffer Fish. The highlight of my last fishing trip in the Gambia was seeing a Goliath Heron, which are supposedly very rare to see.
