Then they handed power back to them, what do you think would happen if you gave power to an uneducated group of people who had seen all the glory and fine things the whites had for the last few hundred years.

Anarchy! they wanted all the things the whites had and wanted them now, they dont understand the fact that you have to work and enducate yourself to get them.

So yes the problems in these countries are purely down to the fact that whites ruled the country and stripped the people of all their wealth and ability to educate themselves.

So you agree that the blacks in those countries are uncivilised and can't be trusted to run their own countries?

I was wrong with my prediction by the way. By page 4 we were onto arguing about race, so we'll be onto Muslims before page 10 at this rate. :p

In both Rhodesia and S Africa, the ruling white elite exploited the black population, giving them virtually no political power or enfranchisement and mining their country of virtually all of its valuable natural resources, for their own benefit.

Since the end of white rule in Rhodesia (aka Zimbabwe, for those not in the know) the country has suffered horribly mainly due to 1) a drought, 2) Robert Mugabe being a complete tool, and 3) the fact that there are virtually no natural resources left in Zimbabwe now, because they were all mined under the white government. I don't see how any of this is due to the innate superiority of whites over blacks.

Yes I do agree they are "uncivilised" to a certain extent, but not that they cannot be trusted, they simply need time to catch up with the western worlds way of thinking.

However as I say this is the white mans fault.

I dont know the "evidence" so what does it support? Black people are just "dumber" for use of a better word, than whites and cant look after themselves in a white dominated capitalist world?

Ive been to SA, and whilst i must confess i was pretty uncomfortable there cos of the poverty, I don't think "freeing the slaves" because that basically what they were during apartheid would miraculously make everyone equal. It will still take generations for those people to become educated and the wealth to trickle down through to those people.

A prediction is exclusive to the event unless it becomes the catalyst to that event. Cause and effect, if you will. However, seeing as it only bothered you and nobody else, it's safe to say that single post hasn't sparked anything other than you trying to pick yet another fight with me. :p

I highlighted what the fuse was earlier, and if you follow the thread you'll see it did indeed light the debate to where it is now. :)

Sorry I dont mean copy us, I mean as Efour says "It will still take generations for those people to become educated and the wealth to trickle down through to those people".

It will take them time to work out what is best for the their country and to bring about the changes needed to run a free democratic society.

It also doesnt help having a corrupt leader in power, but that certainly is something that is unique to black countries.

How are the tribal wars that plague Africa the white mans fault? It is black people killing other black people because they are a different nationality.

Best bit was at a cloak room of a swanky harbor side bar.

security guards patted us down and then asked us if we had any firearms, if we did we would have to leave them in the safe. That actually made me realise how dodgey it was.

One good thing tho, the service in restaurants was unbelievable (almost over baring) . There was literally 8 waiters per table, because they had to give jobs to all the coloured chaps.
