There is seriously no need. You get get a high quality image into 400 x 75 pixels easily enough with 20Kb.

I know, but it would be nice to just have the option of going slightly over the limit if it means you don't have to compromise on quality if the image comes out at say 26kB.

I dunno why im saying so many, but what about a section for such things as when products are due, more stock etc. Similar to what a lot of people post in GD.

A stricter post deletion and suspension policy in which terrible awful horrifyingly bad posts are deleted and repeat offenders suspended and ultimately banned. Suspensions are IMO useful in regulating quality of content and not just enforcing the rules.

These forums are great. It would be a sad day if rules where slacker. It's one thing that makes these forums so good.

The only thing I would change would be a more transparent moderating. What I mean by that is rather than deleting posts/threads. Is for the Mod to leave yellow text stating what and why they have been changed. I think this would remove a lot of the why threads and also help people to remember what and what isn't allowed.

Maybe a some more sub forums, but the problem with that, is you get small dedicated suer base.

And you should supply car puter parts, but that's not forum related.

Agreed (along with car-puter bits ). Although we can e-mail moderators it would be nice for everyone else so we don't end up with "why has x been suspended/banned?" posts.

Not sure I'd like the custom avatar idea again as it would just make a mess of the forums and be a nightmare for moderating team to keep clean. A few more avatars for higher post counts would be a nice addition though.

Members market should require 1k posts and membership for at least 6 months, maybe a certain amount of posts per day as well to prove you're active.

Also more avatars would be nice.

I'd hate this pleace with less strict moderating, as would a lot of other people I have discussed it with. Not because I enjoy banning people, but because it gets very weary having to read flame fest after flame fest. It is my belief that this place is founded on the stricter-than-usual rules and without them it'd just be another forum.

Even though I do have to take **** for enforcing them.

I totally agree with this sentiment, I much prefer a forum which is family friendly and doesn't have swear words every other sentence.

Oh, and stricter rules on racism, although I hate political correctness, even I have been offended by some comments which are most definatly not family friendly.

I've posted in there and well would sooner go walk of a cliff sometimes with the responses to posts I've made, if I want to be insulted or trolled, I goto work.

Less strict rules, ie. sig size improvent to 500x100 or something and 40 kb.
More priviliges for thread creators, ie. to close your own thread.
Being able to post more than 5 images per post, or at least limit it to 5 images AND 5 smiley's.

So general rule adjustements for modern times, I doubt people are still on 56k, having 800x600 screens and not enough cpu power to manage a few moving images or flash plugins.

That sad smilie with the xmas hat on breaks my heart.

This is why I beg of the dons and admins to consider splitting the Graphics Cards and Consoles forums up, or at least make good on their threats to hand out holidays when the fanboys go on a thread-trashing marathon.

I know how bad it is because I used to get into all that, and they need bans or sub-forums. A don makes a thread every few months saying "we will not tolerate this" but it's obviously not working.

If anything, I would like to see a few more rules come into place. Maybe one or to mods or even the re-introduction of Underbosses to aid the mods.

God, all you people requiring bigger signiture sizes etc. What is the point? Moving Images are nearly always annoying and tacky. Same with flash animations.

As others said, maybe some more avatars, don't let people use their own though, other forums with a free for all avatar attitude give me headaches, same goes for sig size, its good to have a limit, other forums have huuuuuuuuuuge sigs. Maybe allow animated sigs though, but still keep the H x W limit?

I agree, console section needs a "MS", "Sony", "Nintendo" and "other" section.
