A ***RECOMMEND ME A <THING HERE>*** thread would be great, the general forums are getting cluttered with absolute rubbish.
One of my lecturers last semester talking about the forbidden C word in a lecture with about 200 people in it. "I don't mind people saying **** out loud, I do have one after all"I even say that to my teachers (some of them)
I think the idea needs more research. Dangerous can help with this.
Tighten up on things a bit Moderators please. If you swear, suspend them for 48 hours straight away, no warnings, their is absolutely no need to swear on these forums, no excuse what so ever. If when they come back from their holiday they swear again, permanent ban them. Most people on these forums should be grown up enough to take the first warning seriously, if they contiue to swear, they deserve to be gone for ever.
The only thing I'd like to see is proper implementation of the infraction feature as it has great potential.
-An Olive branch of some kind extended to those who feel they have been wronged, one that comes with a return policy however as im sure there are two sides to every coin
There are one or two members I'd like to see return, who I actively miss on these forums: iCraig and CBS, off the top of my head. VIRII seemed all out for attention and seemed to enjoy for the sake of it, though.
-An Adult section/paid members, for adults only to discuss PG13/15/18 related issues (nothing illegal obv) where "swearies" are allowed. Sometimes GD has some very adult related threads and it seems silly these are allowed and swear words not, this would solve that problem and make GD more acceptable for under 18's
We already have GD, which is already being treat like a cesspit - this is demonstrated by going round some thread, looking at the quality of threads, and how many people have been suspended for swearing, abuse, etc.
All allowing a forum that allows swearing is going to do, is to promote anger. Maybe if you'd said for crude jokes, the odd XXX picture/link - they're the things people might appreciate more than being allowed to swear.
-A more transparent form of Moderating with both sides of a Story told.
Agree with you here. Sometimes a user is banned, without any reason whatsoever. Sometimes it's because they've gone "to the other side" - aka: That anti-OcUK site, where they currently seem to be trying to smother out a fire.
-PM's enabled.
Maybe, but the forums can run slow as it is sometimes. Not to mention the likely increase in Spie's bandwidth bill.
-Underbosses to take care of the influx of rubbish we sometimes get (although lately its been well managed)
Not too sure on this. We've had Underbosses before, but Spie removed them for whatever reason. I'd say the UB's were just glorified members, with access to the hidden forums.
-A Help/Advice section of thread for the various issues and threads that come up that arn't PC related that clutter GD
Amen to that. I'm getting fedup seeing the very immature threads - ie: spec me a bog roll, spec me which hand to wipe my rear with. It's getting beyond pathetic. Perhaps it's a good idea to keep those children, who don't know how to think for themselves, in one area.
Do you mean the yellow and red cards?
You count number of posts as experience????
Not in my book mate!!!!!![]()
I think that feature needs using more. There's been times in the past I've not even noticed when I've had a warning or a post deleted because threads can move so quickly.Yep that's the infraction feature.
Seeing as you're possibly the only one it's been used on what do you think of it, does it make it any clearer as to why you've been pulled up?![]()
Agreed. Some people, like me, just talk too much. Not a sign of "experience" at all.Agreed, Been here for quite a long while but don't post too often.

Of course, I've been a bit more of a good boy lately.![]()
