**OcUK GTX 670 IN STOCK & REVIEW PLUS AN EPIC PYRAMID/CASTLE HYBRID!!**

Gibbo, I have a few questions I'm looking to play Diablo 3 on Ultra and BF3 on Ultra because my current specs - X4 955 @ Stock, 8GB XMS3 Ram, HIS 1GB 6950 can't even sustain 60 FPS on low when playing bf3.

So was thinking about these 670's, Z77 board, I5 3570K with a nice 4.5Ghz overclock.

Then while reading your post I saw you say - "If it was my money, then I'd be buying either a Gigabyte GTX 670 WindForce 3X or a KFA2 GTX 670 EX OC, those are the two best cards for low noise and overclock without a doubt."

Then I thought I'll buy a Windforce 3X, is the boost just a press of a button and guaranteed? If so I'll purchase one right now because it's £360 and has the same performance as the GTX 680 ;D "But saying that the Gigabyte WindForce 3X was boosting as high as 1202MHz by itself

The boost is auto, so the card clocks itself.

Well this makes me want to return my stock 680 and get one of these little beauties!

Interesting that some of these cards are reference 680 PCBs. I wonder what would happen if you flashed a 680 bios onto them?

EVGA and ugly?

Does not compute.

I just think the reference card is ugly, with an EVGA sticker* on it or not.

Short PCB, plastic fan-box stuck on the end. Not for me, but I'm sure other folks aren't as fussy. ;)

I have a windowed case, though, so aesthetics come into play for me.

*I know, somewhat better looking case than bog-standard reference, but that's all. I'd still see the ugly duckling side in my case.

I am sorely disappointed at the lack of EVGA 4gb cards with a "real" PCB.

Any news on waterblocks available for the rubbish PCB version?

Ok, maybe i'm slightly butthurt at the lenght of the PCB and placing of power connectors :(

Well I personally think of the reference cards the evga look better.

Although I guess all the evga ones look like reference cards lol, just as long as that pcb is black!

gibbo, do you expect the price to rise on the 670's over the next few weeks due to low launch prices or will they remain steady?

Gibbo do you have something like Steam or something so I could talk to you about some Hardware? Please checking the forum every 30 minutes takes a long time. rather than asking a few questions and getting the answers in 2 minutes

Great price on these OCUK but I can't help but feel sorry for the guys who have only just paid a £100 more for the GTX 680. Surely with this card being so close and in some cases matching the 680 it's a bit unfair to undercut there own product by such a margin so soon. I have sold on my gtx 680 now but I would be a bit ****ed off at them to be honest.

I only bought a 680 last week and honestly am not the slightest bit bothered.

It was my birthday this week and also had most of the week off so having a new graphics card in time for that was totally sweet. Waiting would have saved me some cash but at a big cost of time and convenience.

Also the 680 is still superior - £100 superior? Almost certainly not in layman's terms but I'm happy with it.

I still have DSR return or an OCUK 14 days return option but I won't be taking them up on it as am totally happy with my 680.

All power to those that are getting a good deal on the 670 though, it definitely seems to offer the better performance - price ratio.

Think I may upgrade from SLi 1GB 460's, they've done me well. However I have similar Unigine results as the Palit 670,
FPS:
63.9
Scores:
1611
Min FPS:
30.1
Max FPS:
148.1
Gibbo, how are the fan blades on the 3X? One of my 460s; two fan blades was broke after receiving it back from being fixed from you guys over half a year ago. Haven't been keen on Gigabyte since because of crappy plastic blades, should I bother upgrading?
