OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

9070XTs showing in stock at 2.33pm at OCUK
Yeah I think the prices are to high and it's putting people off. Once the demand dies down the prices will drop. I want the Sapphire Pulse but £600 is the max I will pay. I can wait for a deal later in the year if I need to.

OcUK need to pay for all the free shipping given to forum members, pay for mistakes, RMAs, etc. Before any of their own business costs need to be accounted for.

@Gibbo
I am new, does that also apply to me? How do I activate free shipping?

It's putting some people off. I want the same card as you, and I do not think it will drop anytime soon to £600. The lowest I've seen was £569 initial launch, second was on Amazon for £619.

That drop lasted for around 2 and half hours then, not bad.

How many sold is the question.

No, you don't have enough posts or time on the board yet:

As I wasn’t bothered with a GPU today I nearly had a shopping accident with a 9800X3D. Luckily common sense prevailed. I shall keep on waiting for sensibly priced Sapphires.

If AMD is to be believed, MSRP pricing should be available. I get retailers wanting to maximise their profits while stock is low and demand is high (it sucks) but AMD should be offering more rebates or lower costs for the chips. I can wait, I'm not desperate enough to get ripped off. The only reason i wanted to buy 9070 XT was the price...

I should have gotten free shipping but it didn't apply to my order :P

AMD's wording seems to be carefully crafted to make the reader assume that retailers "should" sell at MSRP whereas the word they actually used was "encouraged".
