OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

Rain forest place, could potentially be a brick.
I've been trying to order the nitro+ pre-order on here but the payment won't go through so opted for this instead.
So yeah same as me. That's annoying.

It'll only be a brick if it's open box or renewed.

According to retailers AMD are trying to keep stock of these cards, shipping dozens, even hundreds multiple times a week, the problem is they are flying off the shelves the moment they go on sale, at the moment the demand for them is still insane and its going to take a while for that to cool down. Compare that to Nvidia who are shipping one or two cards at a time.

Normally Nvidia supply 80% of the market, Nvidia are not even supplying 10% of the market right now and with that it falls to AMD to pickup the slack and they didn't expect this, they thought they had built up enough supply with retailers to keep going for a while even with a successful launch, the actual demand tho was insane, right now they are pumping them out as fast as they can and shipping batches out the moment they are ready. This includes MSRP versions of the cards, they do think it matters to keep a healthy supply of MSRP cards but not all of them are going to be.

Right now it seems Nvidia are not interested in Gaming, you can tell that by thee less than usual standard of their drivers for the new cards and the somewhat imperfect nature of the architecture its self.

You know what, i hope Nvidia fans remember this when the AI bubble bursts and Nvidia start caring about gamers again...

Seeing how OCUK seems to have sold pallet loads of Sapphire's RX 9070 XT Pulse, one of them to me, maybe people will be interested in a tear-down.

16 db is silent, its too low, as Steve said the mic barley picked them up above the floor level in his Anechoic Chamber, they could ramp the fans up some more for better thermals and it wouldn't make a big difference to the noise levels, my Pulse (7800 XT, smaller dual fan) is 26 db out of the box, still very quiet, anything under 35db is and i have adjusted the fans up a little in the Adrenalin Software to keep the HotSpot and Memory around 70c, its still very quiet.

Its no biggy, as i said you can make a custom fan curve right in the drivers, its easy and its a good system, but perhaps Sapphire need to go back and make some adjustments to the fan curves through new revisions of the BIOS, there is no need to have noise levels this low, no one is running these cards in an Anechoic Chamber, ramp them up a little and bring those mem temps down.

*Biding time until no one is left to buy a 5070ti and the prices of them plummet*

Actually you're right, there are a couple in stock but at £900 and £1000 i doubt anyone's buying....

Yea it's horses for courses, personally I'm more than happy to run things hotter if it means i can keep things quiet.

To me, in my environment, I'd consider 26 dB to be a bit on the loud side.
