OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

Yeah, the head of purchasing at OCUK was working from home at 10pm, hiding messages about card releases in private parts of the forum,l which can only be accessed by active members, solely to help the scalpers out

The private areas are for long term members, not new members who sign up just to try and scalp so it was the opposite of what your suggesting.
So get your facts right!

Yo @Gibbo my mate bought a card from your goodselves yesterday via AmazonPay.

He's had a confirmation from Amazon with an order number etc. but nothing from OcUK as yet. Does this take some time, or did something goof in the order process? He's raising a ticket at lunch.

Yes it takes time as warehouse has like 6000+ plus orders to try and ship today.

I was being sarcastic. I know you went above and beyond - that was my point.

Ah sorry, very stressed, trying to do everything we can.
Even got loads of extra staff in today to try and get the new stock booked in as quick as possible and throwing loads of staff at trying to get orders out as quick as we can.

I took the gamble to buy in 1000's of 9070 so its paid of but trying to book them all in and ship them all out, major stress.

should have never built a Borg Cube, stick to pyramids in future, cubes cause far too much demand. :D

You getting a gigabyte shipment today? I have an order for the Gaming OC for £680 from a competitor so would love to order from OCUK at £630

Been and gone, we due have another due in but probably be next week now.

They lasted a while, 630 seems to have filtered a lot of people out.

I was unloading a lorry for 30mims came back and still stock left for me to buy.

We also picked a low traffic time on our website, once they had been live 5-10 minutes they flew out, simple fact is the demand is insane and once word is out we have stock the actual stock sells in no time.

Still stock. Guessing more added constantly.

Can we have what “undefined” means in the orders?

I am no expert but I think this is just the stage whilst it waits to get to warehouse, in theory if you have order number and money taken, your secured a card, it will just take a few hours or a day to update, our warehouse is shipping as many as they can as fast as they can, but bear with us it is several thousand orders on top of usual to get through.

It just did it for the 3rd time! Payment authorised - back to Order page - not in stock!!! Not good for my blood pressure!

If I stay at my (authorised payment) basket page, and keep hitting F5 - will that work Gibbo?

No more stock left at present, it kicks you out because the stock has sold out, our checkout won't allow over sales.

OCuk had loads of stock, it does make me wonder what the 4 other companies had in comparision

We probably had more than them all combined, I knew it was going to be a great product and I had full confidence in AMD to get it right so I was stocking up in the thousands since January and buying everything I could lay my hands on. :)

Shame the website spat its dummy, still got there in the end and the web people now confident they found issue and have fixed it so roll on March 12th for the 9950X3D launch which here at OcUK we already have over 1000 in stock, ready to go, time for me to go build a shape out of them. :D

Gibbo, is All the stock done for.today?

Yes were now building stock back and have lots more due next week, so if deliveries are on time we hope to do another drop on Tuesday if deliveries are in time, expecting another 2000.

I don't suppose OcUK staff work weekends so I'm crossing everything that my order progresses from 'picking' to 'shipping' on Monday for delivery by Weds latest.

I'm going to really start worrying if it's still on 'picking' after 12 on Monday.

They do but limited staff, warehouse has managed to ship 3000 orders today with around 2000 remaining which will ship over weekend/Monday.

If that keeps up, that actually does sound like pretty decent supply; given what we've been hearing about NV's 5000 series supply.

Lets hope so but I suspect this will be last big drop, then April onwards things should get better.
AMD has an epic product, very well priced and the market clearly agrees hence the bonkers demand.

Any idea about orders that are now marked as picking instead of confirmed order? Placed my order on the last set of drops last night, got a email to say thanks for your order and my order on my ocuk account said confirmed and maybe 15-30mins later said picking :9

As I say over a thousand orders left to ship will will go out over weekend / Monday. :)
@Gibbo Any way of telling if my Nitro+ order is one of the 80% that is shipping early next week?

I am afraid not but our delivery will actually cover 98% of the orders. :)

Yup, even though Amazon pay said the payment was taken, my credit card showed the payment was taken and my OcUK account said the order was confirmed, OcUK have cancelled my order claiming payment failed. So I now have no GPU and no order. This is a complete joke. I only used Amazon Pay because the site was crashing non stop on the payment page. This isn't how to treat customers @Gibbo.

This is why we advice against using Amazon, in this very guide on the first page!

Amazon takes the order, charges the order but never sends the actual order to us, they will then just issue a refund a day or two later. It is not an OcUK issue, it is an Amazon issue, we never see the order as they never send it us.

They did the exact same on 3080 situation, but it was 100's, Amazon checkout struggles with high demand products, to the point it just seems to give up, but take the money but never sends an order or communicates with the reseller (us) and when it realises it just auto refunds by 48hr later.

Apologies but its not OcUK error and is why we advice against Amazon payments as per the first page of this buying guide.

Hey @Gibbo any word on the Sapphire Nitro + Radeon RX 9070 XT cards yet Thanks again!

ETA with us is tomorrow/Wednesday. :)

Gibbo, I know you can’t 100% say but can we expect the new msrp for base models 9070XT to be £649 going forwards? Is there no more AMD rebates to OCUK? Thanks as I was interested at £570 but failed many times last week due to using my credit card and my bank app taking ages to authorise by which time stock had sold out.

In 2023 the msrp mba 7800XT I bought from OCUK was in stock for days and days!

What has changed all of a sudden? (Again apologies you may not be able to answer this).

Well done though on big effort getting a few hundred of us forumers cards at msrp!

Demand is far higher, its that simple and the supply is not able to handle the demand.

The only reason I used Amazon is your payment pay was crashing over and over again. And now you've told me to reorder as there are no GPUs. So what happened to the one that was allocated to me? Also, I've never had this happen with Amazon pay before and I've used it tons with you guys.

One was never allocated to you as I repeat we never got your order from Amazon and I repeat it is why we SAY DO NOT USE AMAZON!
