I had an order for a steel legend, bagged a pulse just now by pure luck. Submitted a request to cancel the steel legend order. I know its 1 per person so am i risking my pulse order being canceled automatically or anything?

Yeah I've heard as much that PC gaming is becoming a rich persons hobby. Christ, I already play Warhammer and this is making that look downright cheap by comparision. If it continues to be this bad in future I'm going to get priced out of the hobby after 29 years.
 
I missed out yesterday on the MSRP pricing but was ok with £630 and managed to get a powercolor just now but was unable to change the delivery date which is due Monday next week. Is it possible to change this after ordering as I'm not going to be at home when it's due.
 
A few hours after saying I was out the market, I coughed up the +60 quid over MSRP and booked on an extra shift at work to cover the extra cost & the pub.

Just wasn't worth the hassle/stress of constantly scouring the internet over the next few weeks for one close to MSRP value. I don't need that ruining my weekend, I can already do that myself.

You'd have to change from the DPD Options once the email arrives I believe, you can choose to be delivered another day. Correct me if wrong.

At the same time, given we've had 4 years of dross from a stock point of view.

I can kind of get it

I paid £600 for an RX6800 about 3 or 4 years ago at this point

The 9070XT and 9070 would both represent big upgrade, even over say a 3070 etc

I think it's a product of the time

In context I think a 5700XT was a better product in its time, but it didn't go down anywhere near as well as this has.

I mean hell, I'm on a 7800XT and there's a part of me that would sell it and get a 9070XT even at the £629 price. It's just pure force of will I'm not.

Although I'd probably break if I saw say a 7900XTX at £600 lol

ach, having had the original RRP card all the way through to getting the credit card payment approval bit with the bank and then it not going through after all as 'out of stock' to then have the same card still in my basket but now magically in stock again for an extra £60 less than 24 hours later... I simply don't want it now, the whole thing leaves a bit of a bitter taste. I'm sure it makes sense somehow from OCUK's side, I don't know if there's a better way to do this stuff but I'm just not up for all this malarkey, ultimately. Congrats to the people who managed to secure a card at a fair price without having bots and all that scalper stuff, anyway, I'm glad there's at least a chance.

Going to stick with my 3080 for longer and see if things get less stupid in future sometime, but I don't see much prospect!

I pre-ordered last night at 7pm, so hoping my order will be covered in the 400 coming monday/tuesday.

Will the pre-order price of £699 be honored, or will I have to pay the price at the time of shipping? (which currently is £719.99)
 
Nice one, managed to get the 9070xt Pulse, downgrading from my 4090 as want to free up some funds / not gaming as much. 9070xt should be fine for me at 3440x1440, thanks @Gibbo nice price considering demand, I still paid £7.99 for shipping though which I thought was free for loyal forum members :)

totally agree..had mine in basket for 2 hours nearly but could not check out,i will wait
